I didn't get the opportunity to go inside, but the cathedral is gorgeous to look at from the outside. it is a great area with a street-fair type atmosphere that should not be missed on any trip to NOLA. more

St. Louis Cathedral is absolutely beautiful inside and out. This was by far my favorite attraction I got to visit while in the French Quarter. The outside makes for a great photo op (I actually have a framed b&w of it in my bedroom), but the inside is a must see as well! more
It's a gorgeous cathedral and one of the many free things to do in New Orleans. Stroll through, take pictures, and gaze at the artwork and stained glass. A very unique landmark. more
This historical church is beautiful. They let you tour the church for free and even allow pictures when mass isn't taking place. A must see. Don't forget to look at the ceilings. more

The area is beautiful and just amazing. It's just as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside. We went to mass there on Sunday and it was packed.
