Visited again in March '07. We could spend all day driving around all the old mansions. It's so green and full of color. All the camelias and magnolia trees beginning to bloom. The Garden District is finally coming back. Though not damaged by water, there were many trees and limbs down, and some wind damage to some of the houses. It is one of the best walks in New Orleans, like something out of a Tennessee Williams' play. I've done it twice and each time I expect a woman to open a door and shout out, "The lemonade's all ready, Big Daddy!" One of the most unique, REAL neighborhoods in the USA. more
