I am currently a fine dining server and all I have to say about the Space Needle Restaurant is that it is the BEST! My husband and I went there on our honeymoon and it was not only the best service I've ever had but the food was above EXCECPTIONAL! I highly recommend the shrimp and the Milky Way alcoholic... more

We all know that you cannot visit Seattle without going to the Space Needle, so we did that on the first day of our 2 week stay here. As others have pointed out, the views are great, but not magnificent. However, it did give us a good idea of the 'lay of the land' and particular areas of interest in... more

In my opinion the best way to experience the Space Needle is to have lunch in the Sky City restaurant that is located just below the observation deck. Notice I did not say it is the cheapest way to see the Needle. The minimum order per person for lunch is $25 but that includes your ride up which normally costs... more

I agree that you have to go to the Space Needle because it is there. My kids loved it. I guess I've been to too many observation decks. Nice views, free binoculars. They do have a nice timeline of events leading up to the construction of the Space Needle. Also, there are some cool interactive computers where you can view... more

Okay, you're a tourist. You're in Seattle. You HAVE to go to the top of the Space Needle. You just have to. What kind of a tourist are you if you don't and what kind of stories can you tell all those people that will end up asking you about it. We went on a Monday afternoon. The lines weren't... more

You get a really great view if you go to the top of the top of the Space Needle, but if you're afraid of heights or don't really care, then pass on this one. Other than the view, there's not much to brag about. more

We had dinner at the Space Needle last night. The food was the best we have had in Seattle -- not fantastic, but very good. Service was also very good -- just short of superb, but the best we've had in Seattle. We lucked out and had clear skies, Mt. Rainier clearly visible. So the views were really fantastic. Pricey... more

i had been to the space needle as a kid, and it was definitely a lot more exciting back then. maybe it's because i didn't have to pay for it then, but this time it just wasn't that magical. if you want a nice view of the city, go to the little lookout park in queen anne or drive to... more

I have been to Seattle a few times in the past 15 years and have visited the Space Needle each time. So of course I had to visit it when I was in Seattle last week with my son. However, I was a bit disappointed this time. During my prior visits, they had signs in the inside upstairs that showed... more

We visited the Space Needle on our first day and I am glad we did. I was able to show my 9 year old all the places we would be visiting throughout our time in Seattle. So instead of randomly going from place to place in a new city it really gave her a sense of how the city is... more
