We spent the day at Xel-Ha with our two children, 10 and 15. They open at 8:30 a.m. and close around 6:00 p.m. It's all inclusive, breakfast, lunch, snacks, drinks (beer included), towels, lockers etc. A pretty good deal for an entire day. Breakfast is not served until 9:30 a.m. so don't arrive thinking you can eat first thing. Lunch... more

The ONLY thing that kept this park from getting an 'Excellent' mark in this review is that the dolphin swim needs a bit more in the way of free interaction time, and a bit less structure (similar to what they were doing in 2000). Outside of that, Xel Ha is an outstanding and worthwhile stop. You will find it approximately... more

We only went to Xel-Ha because we wanted to go to Tulum and it was a package deal. It actually looked pretty cool from the brochures but I was definitely a little disappointed with the "attractions". Here are my thoughts on some of them: - Trepachanga (Walking rope): The picture in the brochure shows a double rope where you walk... more

My husband and I did one of those time share presentations and rec'd tickets to Xel-Ha for $20 each. It I would have paid the $70 or $80 per person for Xel-Ha, I would have been screaming about a waste of money. The Lazy River was fun - a intertube float down the river. We also enjoyed walking out towards... more

Let me start by saying I do not like to snorkel and I have been there 3 times. My husband absolutely LOVES this place. We have been with our children twice before and we always go back. This time we were with my husband’s brother and his wife. They Scuba Dive and they LOVED It. This was their first trip... more

Xel-Ha was simply the most beautiful place I have ever seen in my entire life. We paid like 80dollars each for it, but even if it were 200 each, it is worth it, believe me! Do not go there if you don't like to walk or swim. The views, which you only see if you walk around the whole park,... more

Last time we were in the Cancun area we went to Xacaret and really enjoyed it. This time we went to XEL HA. This place claims to be natural, but is not. It is completely over run with tourist. There is garbage everywhere from the plastic cups at all the restaurants. All they want is your money. I foolishly paid... more

We spent the day after visiting Tulum in the am, arriving at 11. It was a great day for our family, Two boys, 13 and 9, had plenty of activities, and through we stayed until it closed, we could not fit all that the park had to offer in our day. Food was good. It was a Sunday but not... more

We went in July 2008 to Xel-Ha. Purchased a 2 day tour thru GRAYLINE tours. Xel-ha was one of the days. I liked having the bus drive us there--from Cancun it was about an hour. The tour leaves from EMBARCADERO, in cancun. Bus was comfy--with air, and an hour went fast. Our ticket was an ALL inclusive, so at xel-ha... more

Xel Ha was only about 10 minutes from our resort and was highly recommended by the on-site tour operators. It was very nice. We saw lots of fish, although not as many as I had expected, nor as many kinds. As my husband's first snorkle adventure it was a 'safe' place to go as it is contained and had life... more
