From wheels down to horizontal sleeping it took us just over one hour, felt like more after the Red Eye flight, but still a definite plus. Beds and rooms clean but well worn. Personnel helpful but had no record of our early arrival request that we included on the website at time of reservation. Plus again for them as they... more

I've stayed in the hotel two times. It's decent if you're doing business in Charlotte Amalie or otherwise want to be close to town, but I probably wouldn't recommend it for vacation travelers, largely because of the location. I'd much rather be on a beach. Service is erratic -- the majority of the people manning the front desk were friendly... more

We spent two nights at the Holiday Inn in Charlotte Amalie. We were chartering a sailboat out of BVI so we took a ferry over from St. Thomas. We stayed there the night before our charter and again after the charter was over. The ferry dock was directly across the street from the hotel so there was no need to... more

I found the hotel good for my needs, I would describe it as excellent return for what I have paid! My room was very clean, it has been just renovated and I was surprised because the standard was higher from what you expect from a Holiday Inn. Breakfast was good and reasonable, the restaurant staff were very friendly, the front... more

I stayed at the Holiday Inn when I was living on St. Croix, another one of the U.S. Virgin Islands. I was only staying there for a day and checked out the next afternoon since it was a short trip. It wasn't that bad when I went there. I haven't been to the Holiday Inn hotels in the states or... more

This was a miserable experience. Our rooms overlooked a shanty with chickens and roosters...a lovely way to wake up on vacation I might say. I found the staff extremely rude aside from the restaurant staff. It was almost as if we were bothering them. One front desk employee got in a personal fight with another guest while were we waiting... more

Having lived in the Caribbean all my life, one thing that i have grown accustomed to are the roosters, chickens and all the other critters that come with the territory. So far we haven't been able to do anything much about the rooster although some guests have came up with some interesting fixes in the past. What I can tell...

Hard to believe it is a Holiday Inn! Stayed here twice due to reservations already booked. First time was great- had a water view. Second time- got to see the alley and roof tops- not so nice. Restaurant was expensive and service was horrible. Staff would rather talk on cell phone than serve you. Walk to Glady's for breakfast or... more

If it is any conselation We did notice that we had a problem with employees using cell phones and ipods etc during working hours. We have since sent out memos prohibiting the use of personal cell phones on premises since it takes away from the employees ability to adequately serve the customer. Those employees who we did find in violation...

We spent 2 nights at the hotel prior to boarding the Seabourn Legend. We chose the hotel because it was relatively inexpensive for the short time we would be there and because it was convenient to the boarding dock for the Legend, the shopping downtown and the restaurants in Frenchtown. (The Oceana Restaurant in Frenchtown is superb.) I do not... more

Was not that exicted to stay here, but actually for business its a great property. Its not on the beach, but is on the waterfront where you can walk all the way into town with no problem, right on the bay. Ask for a water view. Rooms are large and renovated. (My only negative was that the bathroom floor was... more

Musty, smelly room. Had dinner downtown -- on the walk back, noticed that one block from the hotel appears to be hooker alley -- no exaggeration. Will never stay here again, there are so many better options. more
