Musty, smelly room. Had dinner downtown -- on the walk back, noticed that one block from the hotel appears to be hooker alley -- no exaggeration. Will never stay here again, there are so many better options. more

We stayed at this Holiday Inn for 4 nights during the week of March 24, 2008. Admittedly I was a little hesitant after reading some of the reviews on this website however the stay was perfect. The room was clean, the staff was always helpful and friendly, the view of the harbor was beautiful. This was the bargain of the... more

I read the bad reviews before booking and was very wary. I called the manager to discuss. I wanted him to guarantee me four refurbed rooms. (The hotel is going through a major renovation). He would not. But when I got there I was pleasantly surprised. The lobby was very nice and the people polite. My room on the 4h... more

Thank you very much for your considerate review of our property. Everyone should know that we are currently undertaking some renovations all in efforts to serve our customers better. We are sometimes pleasantly surprised that even with the renovations many people still find it a wonderful place to stay. We do acknowledge and appreciate your reviews and are making significant...

After reading the reviews, I was expecting the place to be terrible, but our oceanview room was very nice. The hotel appeared to be around 30 years old and a little worn, but not terrible. The view of the harbor was beautiful, you can watch the cruise ships come in and out of harbor, the sea planes were also cool... more

My wife and i just got back after staying at this hotel for 5 nights. Before I went , I read some reviews and went with low expectations. I was pleasantly suprised! The place was clean and The staff wonderful. It was in a good location in downtown. Frenchtown was a 5 minute walk to some nice resturant's. We felt... more

It is indeed the caribbean, and because it is the Caribbean many people have a certain expectation. The trick to it is to acknowledge that we are centrally located, so there are no beaches near by. We do offer a free shuttle to Magen's Bay to compensate and we also have a nice pool. Our location is especailly ideal for...

When we pulled up outside hotel i was expecting the worse bacause it looked shabby and dated. Inside the rooms were not to bad with comfortable beds . The breakfast was good value in a nice restaurant. The hotel is centraly located with nice harbour views but not close to beaches. There are better value hotels on the island but... more

Two words - STAY AWAY. Stayed at this hotel for one night prior to a cruise. Would NEVER stay here again. Hotel RUN DOWN and DIRTY. Even more disappointing - the front desk staff and management was INCREDIBLY RUDE, INHOSPITABLE and could care less about anything and everything. (e.g. I paid for, and had a confirmed reservation for, an Ocean... more

Renovations are going on now, great improvements. Fresh paint, a nice face lift. Rooms are clean. Try to upgrade to oceanview, well worth the money. Great location for shopping, and restaurants. Cabs are expensive. Walking distance to good restaurants in Frenchtown and downtown. Stayed here for my daughter's wedding which was at the Marriott. Traveled with elderly parents in their... more

We stayed here one night in order to catch a ferry the next morning thinking, "how bad can it be, it's just for one night?" For starters, there is no amount of allergy medicine to protect you from the moldy and musty rooms. The hotel is in a shady part of town. Our room faced the rear of the building... more

I brought some food to the room with me and the next morning I had all sorts of ants in my garbage. When I slept a few scout ants would crawl on me from time to time. The air conditioner in the room was very loud and not very effective. In the daytime, very close to downtown and shops, but... more
