We stayed only one night at Nettie's Casuarina Hotel on January 3, 2009. My husband, brother-in-law, and I were stranded in Nassau due to flight complications from Abaco Islands, one of Bahamas' Outer Islands, returning to USA. We were not given any compensation by Continental Airlines and were stranded overnight, and the airline rep called five or six hotels to... more

My sister and I stayed here, it was the worst hotel I ever stayed in!!! The bathroom was filthy, there was a roach under the sink around the toilet was dirty, soap that was used by the previous guest was still in the tub, the towels were filthy....the toilet didn't flush properly. The furniture in the room was old, the... more

My friends and I arrived in Nassau at Netties place for 4dys vacation. Trying to find a comfortable and affordable place we decided to make reservations with Netties Place. We arrived at approximately 12:30am. To our surprise this place was nothing similar to what we viewed online. We had to play hop-scotch to pass over a huge puddle of water... more

My wife and I have stayed here several times in the past two years, mid April 2008 being the most recent. the weather didn't help but the staff has always been friendly and helpful. Unlike many resorts they don't always have their hand out for a tip. Rooms are basic, but generally large and always clean. First trip we stayed... more

We stayed here for three nights on April 26th and had no complaints. It is clean, comfortable, low budget, the staff are friendly and the food was good. We were looking for a quiet place away from the noise of downtown Nassau, just a place where you can chill out without spending a fortune. The location was great. The bus... more

This review is about five months overdue, but we were just talking about it today and how much we can't wait to go back... After booking a spur-of-the-moment trip to the Bahamas in two days my boyfriend and I were looking for a laid-back, hospitable, and unpretentious getaway. This place was it. Granted, there is no gilded gateway or casino,... more

It's all about what you're looking for. Have experienced this hotel twice, in 2005 and in 2006. My family will stay there again next time. This is an older hotel offering basic accomodations with clean airconditioned rooms, comfortable beds, a pool, restaurant and access to a private beach. It is not a resort and doesn't claim to be. The atmosphere... more

If you pan Casuarinas, you must not have stayed at other "Resorts" on Nassau- esp. North Island. Wife and I booked a Beachfront resort near Stewart Cove- What a scuzzy, mold dive. We left after heated words with management and travel agency. Then we found Casurinas. OK, so the glass door jams were a little rusty; the place a little... more

My wife and I can't understand the bad reviews of this place.Netties do not advertise as 5 star-if you want 5 star go to a resort-you get what you pay for. Yes it is basic and older than other resorts but we found it clean and tidy and the staff friendly and helpful. We did not have a kettle and on... more
