Pink Sands is exceptionally short of expectations and not even close to its own advertising. The food is frankly terrible (served in a dark open air space far from the ocean) and the service is indifferent at best. Housekeeping is minimal and the place could really use a bath and a whole bunch of paint. The beach is spectacular -... more

We stayed at Pink Sands in one of the ocean front villas. Although the beach is worth the trip to the island, the service at Pink Sands lies somewhere between below average and indifference. I saw another review that called it a "we couldn't care less" attitude -- thank you for helping me find the most appropriate description. Without a... more

We moved to the Pink Sands after a disappointing stay at The Landing. The views from our cabin were spectacular and we had a private path to their incredible beach. The room had the expected amenities and then some and was completely comfortable, although for what we paid, it should have been. I agree with previous reviewers about the quality... more

With a "we couldn't care less" attitude, the staff and management quickly convinced us we had chosen the wrong property to spend an upscale vacation. Service was non existant, though we did catch the house keepers "fixing" our bed problem by shoving a weathered piece of plywood under our mattress. I won't even comment on the food. Without much ado... more

My wife and I spent the first six nights of our honeymoon at the Pink Sands in early November 2006. I spent several months researching it and definitely got it right. The location is perfect and the hotel is not far off. We stayed in a bungalow, fifty metres from the most perfect beach and with incredible sunrises and sunsets.... more

Chris Blackwell, founder of Island Records and owner of Pink Sands has invested a great deal into this resort, but rumor is that he is paying closer attention to his four other hotels all in Jamaica. The grounds and atmosphere of this hotel are amazing. The architecture is influenced from Bali and is inviting and comfortable. The beach is spectacular.... more

We stayed in a one bed ocean view. The accomodation was comfortable rather than luxurious. Breakfasts were great. Dinner was OK - food at the soon to be closed Landing was marginally better. Hard to understand why hotel prices are so high on the island in January given lousy weather and half empty hotels - our mistake. Staff were very... more

The Pink Sands is a hotel with 4 star accommodation, 2 star service and 1 star food. For my wife and I the quality of food is one of the most important features of any holiday. This is even more the case when half board. The breakfasts are perfectly good (and the breakfast staff very helpful), but the dinners were... more

This was our third visit to Pink Sands and without doubt our best holiday there. There is nowhere better in the world to start your day with a gentle jog or brisk run along the endless pink sands with the sun slowly rising. Breakfast in the Blue Bar is far better than in the old location (close to main building.... more

Agree with the prior poster. The rooms are nice we were upgraded to an ocenview, and glad , spectacular view. I think i would have been very disappointed in the garden view, they seemed to not get much sun and very set back Our rate included breakfast and dinner, breakfast was fine, out at the blue bar. Dinner was bad..I... more
