The Fairmont Mayakoba is a beautiful property! The rooms are great - stayed in a Casita which is a step above from a Standard room but not a Suite. Service - Fantastic! The service was way beyond expectations. Every staff member really wants to make sure you are happy and greet you at all times. Not so much to make... more

I had a wonderful time at this resort. We ended up getting a deal on a suite which included $100 dollars a day credit for any facility at the hotel, which I used at the Spa, and a breakfast buffet every day. The room was beautiful with two bathrooms, one with an outdoor shower, and a seating area with TV.... more

My family (my wife, our 8 month old, and her parents) spent a week at the Fairmont Mayakoba and found it to be a wonderful hotel. The hotel grounds are beautiful and visitors will feel as if they are in the depth of the Mayan jungle before the hotel comes into view. The staff is very friendly and greets all... more

We spent 5 days at the Fairmont Mayakoba - 2 couples, no children. The rooms are beautifully furnished but even in an upgraded casita, our view was nothing but treetops - we could have been anywhere. Although we found the service to be extremely accomodating and friendly, the food is mediocre at best and extremely expensive. There were a LOT... more

The Fairmont Mayakoba is heaven on earth. If you're looking for complete tranquility, this is the place to stay. The setting and natural landscape place you in a different world - the lagoon and paseos through the mangrove forest lead to the ocean - a perfect place for rejuvenation and baptism. The accomodations, from the condo units to the casitas,... more

Stayed at the Fairmont Mayakoba with my boyfriend and two other couples for 4 days and had an absolutely wonderful stay. We were all upgraded to casita rooms since it was down season. Grounds are beautiful. Very modern and clean cut, not as tacky as other resorts we have seen in the neighborhood. We never had to wait more than... more

Stayed July,21-27th. I've been traveling to the Yucatan for apprx. 20 years. My husband worked for a major airline and we've traveled the world. When we first traveled to Playa Del Carmen there were only 2 hotels, miles of beach to ourselves, town was a small fishing village. I've stayed at almost all of the higher end hotels in the area.... more

My boyfriend and I spent 2 nights at the hotel and loved it. We were lucky enough to get upgraded to a lagoon view cassita which was just gorgeous. Huge comfy bed, beautiful view, fantastic bathroom. Loved the swimming pools, split our time between the adults only infinity pool and by the beach. Only ate at one of the restaurants,... more

Worked in the hotel industry in Cancun for several years, and I have never felt so unwelcomed and ripped off until I arrived at the Mayacoba. These were our first family vacations for a long time since we left Mexico and let me tell you, even the Omni has much higher quality and service oriented standars than this hotel. Quality... more

This hotel is amazing! From the service to the rooms to the swimming pools... just a wonderful resort. I highly recommend it. The casitas feel like a luxury tree-house with lots of vegetation around it. The food is great with the only exception that the orange juice for breakfast is not fresh. It should be for a 5 diamond resort.... more
