I stayed at the Howard Johnson on Elk Lake Drive recently and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The restaurant was fabulous, exceeded our expectations. Staff were VERY helpful and courteous. This hotel is great, the restaurant is awesome, and the hotel rooms are beautuiful. There is a great heated pool, facing the south/west, so the sun is shining on the pool all day, until the beautiful sunset over the mountains. There is free parking. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous and we were given a great corporate rate as we were having a business meeting in the hotel the next day. The cleanliness was good except for behind the night stands and the pullout couch. Needed some serious vacuuming! It looked like it had never been moved and vacuumed around in 5 years.... more
