I would not recommend the Lord Nelson Hotel. I recently stayed there for a business trip. Noise from the nearby nightclubs permeates the hotel, and on one night it kept going until 4am. I travel to liverpool every month to go to the hospital. I have found this to be the most convenient and friendly budget hotel.Only a couple of minutes walk from lime st station and the city centre. The staff are lovely, the rooms basic but clean and modern, especially the bathrooms. I feel comfortable there as a lone female. more

My friend and i very recently stayed in this hotel, we both found vey empressed by nice friendly staff,clean and tidy room breakfast was just basic but all you needed,it situated in a centre postion, and it was very quiet,when we return to liverpool we would diffently stay there again. more

For only £40 a night i had an excellent stay, the hotel was clean, tidy and well presented and staff were extremely well mannered and polite! Much better than staying in a chain cheap hotel! more

The room was dirty, there was no shower but only an old and dirty bathtub.The shower in the aisle where very very dirty with no hot water. The bed was uncomfortable, it was no possible to open windows, the glasses were broken and the only window that was possible to open was toward garbage. Horrible stay!! more
