Stayed here for one night on the 29th November with my wife. Wanted the stay to be something special so asked for the best room in the hotel. Visually it is impressive, split level and well done. A few niggles though. I am 6 foot 1 and I could not stand up straight under the shower head - understandable if... more

My wife took me to the Hope Street Hotel for the weekend of my 60th birthday. It couldn't have been better - a wonderful, comfortable hotel, with friendly staff and a great location. The room was elegant and stylish - and not too warm! We had two dinners in the restaurant, the London Carriage Rooms, and it was FABULOUS! I... more

i found this to be a great hotel, though the room was a little hot for me. we were there for three days and ate twice in the attached restaurant which on both days was a disaster both in service and food, even the breakfast was a disappointment. sent email and letter to the chef/owner, no reponse, not surprising really. more

An above-average boutique hotel, with giant beds and crisp cotton sheets, easy-on-the-eye styling and good facilities. My only reservation was that it was sometimes too smart for its own good - I found the controls on the rain shower completely flumoxing, and the hotel guide was sweet and jokey, but did not seem to include a number to ring for... more

Stayed in room 111,agree with other reviews very hot in all areas of hotel even with heating in room off.Opened window but had to close it as air con/extractor fans were opposite windows. Room very small. Much better rooms in liverpool for half the price!! more

Lovely room; polished wood, clean lines, quality linen. Big bathroom with a bath and a shower, fab toiletries. All spotless and very comfortable. But it was so hot, I ended up sleeping on top of the duvet with the window wide open. If you have cold bones, you'll love this hotel! more

We loved Liverpool and this hotel. The hotel is situated in an ideal position being across the road from the Philarmonic Hall, and between the two cathedrals. The staff were helpful, although there is building work going on, which we were not aware of prior to our visit. It only effected one of nights stay, and only for a short... more

The hotel is in an excellent location between the two cathedrals. We thought the staff were helpful and the hotel itself looks amazing, however: 1) What ever we did, our room on the third floor always felt too warm (yes we had turned the underfloor heating off) 2) The walls are paper thin and you hear everything around you. We... more

We were in Liverpool for a reunion at the University which was taking place at the Victoria Building on Brownlow Hill and the Union on Mount Pleasant so the hotel was primarily chosen for its location. That being said we had a very comfortable and relaxing weekend. The helpfulness of the staff started before we arrived: we had tickets for... more

Really pleasing hotel in Liverpool, European Capital of Culture 2008. Hope Street is a modern high quality hotel without being flashy, it has stylish state of the art decor. Situated on the opposite side of the road from the Liverpool Philharminic Hall in the middle of Hope Street between the two famous cathedrals. The views from the city side of... more
