The la Mon Hotel was a complete contrast to the experience of staying in an impersonal 5 star hotel in London. We arrived a little after breakfast had finished and well before the official check in time but nothing was too much trouble - they rustled up a full Irish Breakfast and the rooms were ready when we had finished.... more

I was expecting a country house hotel and spa but La Mon is more like a Premierlodge with pool and gym. I recently had the pleasure of spending a weekend at this lovely hotel and would definately recommend it. The rooms are large, spacious and exceptionally well furnished with a very powerful, power shower in the spotless bathroom. The carpets are thick, the beds large and the pillows plump!
