We stayed over the halloween weekend. On arrival to the room there was a strong smell of urine or damp. I asked one of the cleaners if she could give me some disinfectant to clean the bathroom, she came in and squirted some down the toilet and immediately flushed the chain, this did not get rid of the smell. The... more

Stayed for a few days recently and was greatly impressed. The staff were very helpful and the food was great. Andy was a star, bubbly and cheery as well as knowing his job. Great location - near the shops and beach. Enjoyed the leisure club facilities - great to be able to relax. Will definitely recommend and be back more

Checked in ok, parked in the last space of the free resident only car park. Our room key didn't work all weekend, what a pain. Whenever we wanted in we had to grab a staff member to override the lock. On the morning of leaving, the door opener machine was missing so they literally had to kick the door in.... more

Being a lone female traveller I am always more aware when staying in hotels, but the staff could not have been more welcoming. Sarah on reception was great and my room was equally so. I had a slightly larger room with a lovely double bed and view of Arran!!! for which i was very grateful as i was there for... more

I stayed here for business. The Internet rate is a joke!! £6 an hour or £15 for the day! So if you are coming here and need to use the internet, then be prepared to be ripped off. The hotel has a strange smell in the corridors and restaurant. My bathroom smelt of damp and had black patches on the... more

This hotels waiting staff seems to consists of local teenagers who need a bit of leadership,my evening meal was a deep fried disaster that a greasy spoon would have been proud of,the dessert course arrived after much discussion with various members of the waiting who did not seem to think it was their job to bring the aforesaid dessert to... more

Booked in for 3 days for the Ayr Gold Cup and again had a great time. Staff were all first class from reception to house keeping. On the Friday and saturday night the hotel had arranged entertainment for guests which ran into the early hours of the morning as did the bar. Bar staff are probably amoungst the best I... more

Recently returned from 2 nights at the Ramada Ayr.Having paid £95 per night for B&B the hotel had a rather tired look. The staff were very pleasant and helpful but had the feeling that there wasnt enough of them! The sevice at breakfast was very poor, cold plates, sloppy presentation, had to wait too long for them to bring more hot... more

The car parking is free, which is a bonus. It is a barriered car park offering minimium security but no more a risk than anywhere else. I was happy with the set up. Access to the hotel was easy via the car park. Staff were fantastic in every department from reception to the bar to the breakfast room. All were... more

The hotel is situated in the centre of Ayr, only a few minutes walk from the sea. It has a large and free car park. The room (79 Pound B&B per night for a couple) was lovely, with a vew to the sea, spacious bathroom, well equipped (iron and board, plenty of room to hang clothes, wide bed, safe etc.)... more
