I spent 3 nights in the tonic hotel in october 2008 with my fiance. I had read mixed reviews about the hotel and was a little apprehensive, however, i would highly recommend it to anyone visiting paris. The location is fabulous, about 2 mins from les halles, 5-10min walk to louvre museum, 20 min walk to notre dame and the... more

Didn’t love the Hotel Tonic, but thankfully we spent our days exploring beautiful Paris and didn’t have to spend much time in the hotel. This hotel looks nothing like their website so don’t be fooled. The first room they gave us was so dirty looking. The blanket on the bed was filthy. The rooms are very small and we were... more

We have just returned from a week at the Tonic Hotel du Louvre in Paris. We had a very good experience with this hotel. The staff was very helpful and when something needed attention, they took care of it in a timely fashion. The room was small by American standards, but adequate for a city room. It is located near... more

The hotel is ideally located and very reasonably priced. There is a small bar and the buffet breakfast was absolutely fine with enough variety. However, the rooms are small, there are no tea or coffee making facilities and it wasn't particularly clean. The mattress was old and uncomfortable. We had a room facing the street and had no idea how... more

We stayed here for three nights and originally had some problems. We booked a twin room, but were given a double. On complaining to the desk we were told that the beds could be separated, but this did not get over the problem of the bed linen being the wrong size and this was not sorted out until we pointed... more

Good points - excellent location - a few mins walk from 2 metro stops (Chatelet les Halles and Pont Neuf), 5 mins walk from the Louvre, about 10 mins walk from Notre Dame, Rue de Rivoli shops at the bottom of the road and more shopping at Forum des Halles. The breakfast is more than adequate (unless you are used... more

The location of this hotel is fantastic for The Louvre and other great shops. The staff were generally friendly, but a few had problems with English. The room itself was of a reasonable size, with high ceilings and large windows that opened out on the street. But. The safe in the room did not work, and even after reporting this... more

As the other reviews say, yes it's small and yes the elevator is the size of my shoe, but honestly the location for the money is tought to beat. We parked our car down the street and never saw it again until we left for home. The street it's on is small and it's a one-way, so if the one... more

I spent a lot of time researching hotels in Paris for my first visit, I did not have unlimited funds, finally took a deep breath and hoped my judgement would be good. I absolutely loved the location, arriving in Paris C deG airport made our way to the station and followed the hotels directions which was a very short walk... more
