The good: Quite nice rooms, comfortable beds, adequate bathroom. All in all, a reasonable hotel to stay in. It's handy having the metro right outside the door but others who prefer to walk may find this hotel a little far from the main Paris attractions. Some nice restaurants near by. The bad: The customer service in this hotel is appalling!... more
Hotel Kyriad is clean and modern, the staff are friendly and it is very very convenient for the metro. It is situated opposite the entrance to Pernety Metro station, (Pernety being two stop from Montparnasse which is the main connecting metro line for all of the tourist hotspots) The local area has a cool Parisian atmosphere and you benefit from... more
We stayed here for 5 nights. The hotel is very close to the metro. We made the mistake of transferring from Montparnasse station and walking rather than transferring to the line closer to the hotel. I was not so sure about how safe the neighborhood was during our walk, but upon further investigation, it was fine. The room was clean.... more
The room was very clean. The decor was very nice, though the bed took up pretty much the entire room. No air conditioning, just a fan. Location was good. A metro stop was right across the street. The elevator was very slow and cramped. So we usually took the stairs. They have a policy where you need to leave your... more
My husband and I stayed at Hotel Kyriad Montparnasse for about one week in April 2008. We have stayed in European hotels countless times and this hotel was our least favourite. While the location is good (close to Metro stop, lots of great restaurants), the downside is that it's on the corner of a relatively BUSY small street. Our room... more
Like the last reviewer, we would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Paris. Situated in the south of the city, it's maybe a little further out than some people would consider, but with the metro so handy, there's no reason not to go. The room was a reasonable size (and much bigger than expected after reading some of these... more
Hotel is really difficult to find unless you get off at Pernetty Metro station which is literally opposite the hotel. Great area, quiet at night and a few bars, and lovely bakeries through the day. Fantastic to get up and wander down the street for some fruit and pain au chocolat. Room was lovely, really clean and modern (I have... more
To find a good value, clean hotel in Paris that does break your piggy bank it is a challenge! This hotel managed to have both! Located across the Pernety metro stop. The room are small, but it is clean with a small but efficient ensuite bathroom. If you are a light sleeper ask for a room not facing the main... more
Here is a small, quiet, clean, well-run hotel. The staff was excellent in their friendly, informal and yet professional manner. It feels like a family hotel. The whole place was peaceful and relaxing. But the very best thing about it is its location. It is surrounded by small streets, so narrow they could almost be called lanes. You open your... more
