Stayed at Hotel de Varenne for three nights on a recent trip to Paris with my fiancée. Have to say that the hotel is in a lovely area - very safe and calm but nice and close to all the sights. The Eiffel Tower / Invalides is a few mins walk one way, Musee D'Orsay / Louvre / Concorde few... more

This was a wonderful and cute hotel with great staff. The rooms were immaculate, the breakfast was great and the little courtyard so nice. Location was quiet, close to Embassys, federal buildings but also Museum Rodin and Hotel De Invalides were around the corner from the Hotel as well as the Metro. I would recommend this hotel anyday. more

After staying nearly a week at the Varenne (in a twin superior room), we echo the vast majority of tripadvisor posts here: it's a wonderful hotel! It's exactly as pictured and described on the hotel website (and in tripadvisor traveler photos), with beautifully decorated rooms, as well as air-conditioning, a refrigerator and safe in the room, and pleasant, helpful people... more

Just returned from a short stay in Paris. I chose the Hotel de Varenne based on positive TripAdvisor reviews and am now adding our own rave review. The location is wonderful, close to two subway stops and a range of museums and sites. The Rodin museum is just around the corner and Napolean's tomb is a brief walk. The Musee... more

The hotel was perfect, exactly what we wanted,the room was spotless and tastefully decorated, the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were good. It was located within walking distance of the major attractions such as The louvre, Eiffel Tower, Invalides and many more. The hotel has an excellent location and the facilities offered are very nice. However, the owner, Jean-Marc, has an anti-American streak that is quite off-putting. I will not stay there again. more

The Hotel was brilliant! We had excellent service all thanks to the people [receptionist, porters, maids etc] . Everyone was very helpful and polite, who also all spoke english which was very useful to us as our french is not the best. Stayed for 4 nights. We had a double with shower, but should have reserved a room with a bath (to ease tired muscles after hours of walking each day). Very clean with all of the necessities. A quiet neighbourhood with a variety of cafes, restaurants, bakeries, etc. - good access to the Metro. Staff were very friendly and particularly helpful... more

Great location for the hotel, close to all the major landmarks. Skip the breakfast that you have to pay extra for and watch out for the extra cost of the wi-fi.
