The hotel was average, the size of the double bedroom we stayed in was fit for hobbits so if you intend to stay here my advice is book a twin room- two people can stand in these rooms as the same time! Reception staff were average. We stayed in October and for us it was very warm in our broom... more

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on the last part of our honeymoon. We arrived and were not well greeted. When we got to our room it was discovered that it was not cleaned yet and it was about 3pm. We went down in the garden bar for an hour and had drinks and waited. After an hour,... more

Excellent hotel, friendly staff, great breakfasts for the English especially. The down side is the location, walking out of the hotel at night feels like you are walking into some dodgy abandoned area. Rome is very safe but the walk home at night from the centre was very unerving. To cap it all we were approached by scammers 3 x... more

I did quite a bit of research before our italy trip. We had a budget so that excluded 3-4 star hotels with prime locations. I found Giulio Cesare on this site and couldn't be happier. Beautiful place. great room (smaller than US rooms but comfy). staff was helpful with any questions. garden patio was a great way to end the... more

We just returned from a stay at this hotel. It was elegant, refined and the rooms were spacious and extremely comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful, and friendly and the breakfast was awesome. I loved the location. It was in a residential part of the city, so it was quiet, yet convenient. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone!!! more

I'd read about renovations to the hotel and was concerned at the possible impact of these on our stay. I need not have worried, there was no work taking place on our visit and in fact all looked to be completed. Firstly, the reception staff were very friendly on our arrival. The booking in was carried out in just 5... more

We selected our hotel as a result of Tripadvisor reviews, and were not disappointed. This hotel is located in a beautiful residential neighborhood, close to everything, and far enough away from the city for some quiet. We asked for a renovated room, which we got, and it was quite lovely. Small, by American standards, but larger than the other hotels... more

I was a bit nervous of this, as it was my first visit to Rome, but the tenth Italian hotel I have stayed in in the last 12 months. I thought the capital's hotels would be worse than the hotels in lesser cities, but I couldn't have been more wrong. From check-in to check-out (and after when they looked after... more

This is a very nice hotel and a great location that is not in the center of Rome but with the Metro just a few blocks away it makes getting anywhere in Rome a breeze. I agree with another reviewer do not ask for resturaunt recomendations, we did our first night and were directed to a place not far away... more

My two brothers and I stayed at the Giulio Cesare for a week in April 2008 and found it to be very nice. The hotel is well run and the rooms are clean although a bit small. They have a wonderful breakfast every morning with eggs, sausage and pastries. Our rooms were in the villa which is behind the main... more
