we wanted a fairly cheap couple of days and this hotel was perfect - its clean, well placed and the family who run it speak reasonable english and are welcoming and helpful. we arrived late friday evening - took the bus from the airport and then a taxi from the main termini which was a sensible move - would have... more

We were schedule to stay here on our return to Rome. Our first stop in Rome was at the Best Western Canada Hotel. During our first stay we decided to check out this hotel. It was in a different area near Termini station than the Best Western. The area was unappealing, even during the day - covered in graffiti and... more

My husband and I just returned from a 10-day vacation to Italy. We started our trip here at Principe Eugenio (first 3 nights) and it was just what we expected after reading the reviews from this site. Our room was very large with a great balcony (Room 3) and although it was on a noisy side-street (not too busy, but... more

We stayd there for 3 nights , it's a nice hotel, with a very good value for money. Entrance and surroundings don't look promising but once inside rooms are very spacious and clean (seem renovated recently). Breakfast is basic but OK and the location is also good, about a mile from Termini with a nearby metro and bus station, but... more

We have stayed in this hotel for 4 days in 2006. The neighborhood is a little frightening, the front of the building was under reconstruction. The staff is composed by 3 generations of a italian family, The breakfast isn´t a feast... more

We stayed at the Principe Eugenio from a Fri-Mon, we couldn't find the hotel at first but navigation is not our strongest point! After asking some very helpful shop/bar/hotel staff we found we were just being daft not finding it in the first place! Once we arrived the owner couldn't have been more helpful. As we booked the hotel through... more

We stayed here for three days. The hotel is a big flat in a normal roman building. The hotel corresponds clearly to a 3star hotel although it has only two stars. I only have a small negative remark: Before arriving, I reserved a mail asking for a quiet room. When we arrived, I was a bit disappointed because room no.4... more

I chose this hotel after reading reviews on tripadvisor. I knew that the location wouldn't appear the best but behind the hotel room door I would be pleasantly surprised, and I was!!! We were warmly greeted upon our arrival and provided with a map and tips on visiting sites. The woman behind the desk escorted us to our room and... more

My husband and I have stayed there 4 days before going on a cruise and we found the hotel perfect. Nice, big, very clean rooms, we had the chance to have a balcony. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The included breakfast is plentiful, good fresh bread, jams, fruits, juice, hard-boiled eggs, cheese, etc. All this at a budget... more

We decided to book a room at the Hotel Principe Eugenio based upon the reviews at Tripadvisor, and we are glad we did! We were so pleased with the rooms and the service, that we cancelled our other hotel that we had reserved for later on in our vacation and, fortunately, were able to secure another room here. This family-run... more
