We booked two triple rooms for 6 people (including 4 teens). When we first booked, we were thinking of three things - air conditioning, location and value. We chose the Adriatic over a less expensive hotel, and found that an extra 10-15 Euros per night bought that air conditioning and terrific location at the Adriatic. It is a typical European hotel. There is no breakfast, but there are plenty of places across the street. Great location and close to the major bus lines. Plenty of cheap places to eat just around the corner. The hotel was clean and staff very friendly. more

we stayed for 4 nights in february 2008 and found the location of the hotel excellent,very near the vatican and easy access by bus. The staff were all pleasant and very helpful. Stayed in Adriatic for 6 nights in October,hotel was clean,staff was very friendly and helpful.Bathroom was pretty small , but clean and renewed.Location! Location is fantastic , about 5 min walk to Vatican,5 min to St Angelo castle,20 min to piazza Navona.There is a little supermarket near the hotel - good prices.Want to recommend the cafe shop across the street... more

I must have stayed here at least once a year for the last 3-4 years! You can't fault it's location, right next to Vatican. Short walk will get get you into main tourist areas of Rome. I have used this for weekend getaways also for watching rugby internationals. Front desk will organise anything for you, great for storage of luggage... more

I stayed at the Adriatic for the second time in March 07 (initial stay was July 06) and it was just as good as I remembered. The room was on a completely different floor, but was just as large, with a bath and over shower. The only down point was that the bathroom could have done with a re-paint. However... more

Booked this hotel on last.minute.com. Was a little wary as got a really great price. No need to have worried, this hotel was comfortable, just a room but clean and in a fantastic location.
