We just returned from a weeks stay at the Hyatt Regency Maui. Our stay was from August 8 - 15th. This was our second trip to this resort in the last two years and we ran into some definite problems on this vacation. First of all, we paid for an ocean view room and although our hotel room had a... more

We just got back from an awesome stay at the Hyatt in Lahaina. The hotel was beautiful, clean and staff was excellent. The grounds were outstanding, very lovely beach, and activities galore. We enjoyed music by the poolside all day, and the town of Lahaina by night...great food, art and music. The tennis pro was outstanding. Frank is very knowledgable,... more

Our family recently traveled to Maui for the first time and spent a week at the Hyatt Regency. We have three children, 12, 14, 17 and we all had an outstanding experience and hope to return soon. One of the highlights of the week was the time we spent with the tennis pro, Frank Salvador. All of us play tennis... more

I have to say we did sooo much research before we choose the Hyatt. And, afte some of the reviews we were a little scared. It was not our first choice, we were thinking Westin, Sheraton, or Marriott. We are sooo glad we chose the Hyatt. We have stayed at other very nice hotels (Ritz, Boston) and this was just... more

This is my first time writing a review, but we had such a bad experience here on our honeymoon (first week of Aug'08) that I decided it was necessary to warn others before considering staying here yourself. Here are all the issues we had with the hotel: 1. Had to switch rooms 3 times. We booked an ocean view room... more

Arrived and informed about valet/self parking. We chose self and never had a problem finding parking( stay was only 3 nights). Checked in and paid an unbelievable low price for an upgrade to ocean front regency club suite.Elevators worked fine( they have a bowl of candy there everyday?!)( we used the stairs for exercise), room was 21st floor atrium tower,... more

This place is definitely overrated. When we first arrived they put us in a "partial oceanfront" which actually overlooked the parking lot. When we addressed this issue to the staff they offered us an oceanview upgrade and then would not allow us to take it. They said the upgrade was a mistake and tried to put us in another partial... more

We stayed at the Hyatt from July 28-August 4 for our honeymoon. We did a ton of research on the different resorts on Kaanapali Beach, and went with the Hyatt despite the mixed reviews we read on Trip Advisor. We cannot imagine how anyone could dislike this place! From the moment we walked in, the staff treated us very kindly... more

My teen and I went mainstream for this impulse trip to Maui. The Hyatt is large scale and corporate for me but I have to say that I enjoyed it as a corporate & sanitized cultural experience! It's strange, sickening and a bit twisted to see all these mainland people who traveled thousands of miles to an Island & ocean... more

Definitely the best Hotel I have ever been to. My wife and I for our Honeymoon had the package with the breakfast buffet in the Swan Court. Just amazing. We ate at Spats Trattoria one night and the food was excellent and a lot cheaper than expected. It was still expensive but so where near as expensive as I thought... more
