I stayed here during my first visit to Philly. The location is GREAT. Walk two blocks at you're at Rittenhouse Park. I got a good deal on Quikbook but if I paid the standard rate I would have been really disappointed. We had a view of a brick wall and the room was dark. The room and the bathroom were... more

Great location, the hotel is in the heart of center city and blocks from everything. Unfortunately the room was outdated, I would assume it hasn’t' been remodeled since the 80's. I knew this before I stayed but figured it would be ok since it was so convenient. The air conditioner did not work, we figured we would just give it... more

The hotel was old and filthy!!! The first room I checked into was filled with smoke although I asked for a non-smoking room. The second room they moved me to had hair in the shower ans what appeared to be blood stains on the shower curtain. In addition, there was dust all over the room. I complained again and moved... more

This hotel is a great value. The location is excellent. The service exceeds expectations. The front desk staff were extremely professional, polite and knowledgable. This is not something you find at all hotels! The room was very clean and sported free wireless internet. The decor is very traditional if not a little old school. This contributes to its charm. If... more

We stayed at the Latham for 4 nights. First the good news: On usual hotel factors, it was very satisfying. Room was clean and charming, great location, staff friendly. The A/C was powerful, a big plus as it was over 90 all week. We didn't find it musty or outdated (except for the antique Internet station), as some have said,... more

We've stayed at the Latham many times. Have tried other Philadelphia hotels, but always return here. Yes, its a bit worn and rooms are small, but the location is perfect and the rooms have an old world charm. Considering the reasonable cost, I see no reason to complain. There are so many great restaurants within easy walking distance that room... more

I stayed for one night in April. I was expecting the hotel to be a bit smarter than I found it, but chose it mainly for its location, which was indeed very central and convenient. It was a little outdated and musty, but no problems, and I would say perfectly fine if you just need a base to explore! more

I have stayed at the Latham Hotel twice. This hotel is a bit "tired" but has a lot of elegance. Apparently, it was a luxury apartment house in the golden age of Philadelphia. There's nice marble in the bathroom and the slightly unusual furniture is nice and old-fashioned. The front desk staff was professional -- gracious. Nice toiletries and a... more

My friend and I came to Philadelphia to see the Frida Kahlo exhibit. The Latham was one of the Philadelphia Art Museum participating hotels which gave us VIP tickets to the exhibit as part of our room cost. We loved the hotel. Our room was well appointed and gave us a cozy feeling. It was clean with comfortable beds and... more

We stayed here while in the city for an engagement party. The location is GREAT--you can walk anywhere in the city pretty much, very convenient. Also, the valet service was very convenient. The room itself was not bad, a little old but not dirty or anything--just in need of an update I think. I really had no problem with the... more
