If you want to be near the ocean with a view, this is not the place, but it is in walking distance of a nice little cove and a park. Very economical for $125/nt. the apt was really more like a small 2 BR cottage. Very quiet, clean and neat with all the amenities, except a blender. It is not plush by any means, very homey. Very nice private patio with umbrella table, chairs and lounge chairs. You practically have the pool to yourself which we used quite often when we weren't out sightseeing. Bus stop is a 5 minute walk, but a quick ride to Hamilton & bus station where you can catch another bus to wherever you want to go or just spend the day there. This apt. is in an out-of-the-way part of the island. Buses do not run through the area much later than 6 p.m. We took alot of cabs because you cannot rent a car. Only scooters and they're pretty scary unless you're used to riding them on really narrow roads with stone walls along the sides. There is also a grocery store near by (The Point Market neighborhood store) just a 5 minute walk away. The owner's are in the process of finishing up a new building with 6-8 new apts overlooking the pool. They're a really nice couple. This was our 2nd visit to Bermuda. Twice is enough. Too many other beautiful and interesting places to see. But, if you've never been there it's worth it even if the food is very expensive. Consider taking some food/liquor with you. And, consider using USA3000 Airlines, new out of Baltimore. Good rates, GREAT service! If you go, be sure to visit the Swizzle Inn!
