Coyaba is a great resort... The people are lovely, the food and the drinks are wonderful. The rooms are clean, comfortable and the ocean views are quite nice. In particular I recommend Gladstone the bartender, he was extremely friendly and always found a way to help us out. We also had really good experiences with Detroy and Fitzroy as waiters while we were there, as well as several other waiters who unfortunately we didn't get to learn their names. Alex and Kaydrian amongst the management were also very friendly and helpful. In particular they were all concerned and helpful with my dietary restrictions (I can't eat anything containing wheat, rye or barley). Also, I want to mention Richard the senior bell hop. He really made us feel welcome at the start of our trip and was helpful in making leaving as easy as possible.
The thing to remember about Coyaba is that it is a small resort that is more oriented towards giving you a place to relax and unwind than to party. Its close enough to Montego Bay that you can get to the strip if you want to party. Generally though evenings at the resort itself are quiet; there is some live music at dinner but, generally its background music, not dance music. The beach is small and you are in a lagoon, but that makes it nice and easy to swim.
Despite being small, the food is excellent and generally there is a good variety and served in generous quantities. Unless you plan on going out to eat a lot, I recommend the all inclusive plan. It is pretty pricey, but if you like to drink at all, it won't be hard to make up the price.
Overall, I would say the place is ideal for a Romantic Getaway. My wife and I both agree that our honeymoon there was exactly what we needed and we hope to be able to return again in the future.
