Man,
Where to start? This place was a little piece of heaven! I have never returned from a vacation such a blessed and changed person as I did with this trip to CoralCove and Liitle Bay Jamaica.
Granted, I did get married there and that is life changing in itself, but the people(Dawn, the wedding planner,Ritchie, the driver, and many more; Elaine, Terry, Yang, Donald, Uncle sam, richard, Tyler etc.) They made my marriage, my stay, EVERYTHING perfect! I cannot imagine a better suited place or better prepared people to help with your marriage!!!!! Frankly, these words, any words do not do justice to the level of joy that this place and the people working there have given me. Literal tears well up in my eyes everytime I think of how gracious, polite, accomodating, and just friendly these people were to me. They made a day deserving of perfection exponentially more so than that word implies! I was always horrible with names until I met so many people more than worth remembering. My wedding had it all! The music they arranged for my wedding was top shelf! The food is still discussed amongst all my guests as some of the best ever!!!! It was sooo Amazing! Raked sand beneath the feet, fresh flowers, even an arch braided on the spot from flowers cut from there garden, our names in flowers on the tables, the most amazing minister, bonfires, torches, steel drum band and reggae band, photography, amazing food; Doesn't all this sound like a dream come true for a wedding day? IT WAS!!!!! Even if you are not getting married, this is still an amazing place. Little Bay is a quiet sleepy fishing village, and this is where CoralCove is. It was nice to visit Negril and shop, but I would hate to not have CC to return to after a day of constant harassment and hustle and bustle. Every guest I spoke to at CoralCove had the same idea as well, our refuge was much appreciated after just a few hours in Negril. Now, if you need bright lights and loud music and constant distractions and any other of these cliche touristy mind-erasures, I would definately recommend you stay in Mo Bay, or Negril where the constant street harassment and blaring music and disco lights are always going. But if you wish to immerse yourself in the people and culture of Jamaica, CoralCove in Little Bay Jamaica is the best place to set up base camp! From there, you can arrange to go anywhere you want to(for a fee of course) and you always have Little Bay and it's Laid-back attitude to make everything just "feel alright"! If you, like me, consider yourself a traveller, in that every new experience is a life lesson, and every new face teaches you more about your own, than you need to plan to go and stay as long as possible at Coral Cove in LIttle Bay. I was delayed 2 days getting back to the states and even these extra days were not enough! I would live there if I could figure out how to give something and survive without taking any jobs away from the locals.I just have to have faith someday I will be able to live there. BUt this burning desire to move to Jamaica, I owe to CoralCove, its employees, and the people of Little Bay!!!

“A perfect 10”

Coral Cove Resort

5 of 5 stars
Philadelphia area
May 9, 2008

5 stars for Coral Cove. Everything was perfect. This was THE best vacation my husband and I have ever taken. It was more romantic than our honeymoon. My husband likes to say it is "Rustic beauty meets 4 star service". We stayed in the Momma Beach. It was a very large room with dark wood floor, walls and ceiling. It was off set by the white linens and curtains that blew in the warm breeze morning, noon, and night. It had 3 rooms. A living room type area with a fully stocked fridge, wet-bar, table and two large sofa's that can be made into single beds, a bedroom, and a bathroom. The bathroom was lovely with a hand painted scene around and inside the shower (which is very large).

The food was fantastic and plentiful. I have never eaten so well. It was better than restaurant quality and very healthy. We started each meal with either fruit or a salad. One day we even had Uncle Sam a local come and cook us a large meal of jerked meats. The bar had everything you needed and if on the rare occasion there was no one manning the bar...you could just go right ahead and fix it yourself.

I can honestly say that if I needed anything someone would have gone out of their way to get it for me. It is rare to find a staff that makes you feel like an honored guest in their home. You can tell that the staff really cares about Coral Cove and wants your vacation to be the best and most memorable. I could go on and on about our adventure thru the woods to Bob Marley's house or the fun we had watching my husband getting lowered into the mineral spring or listening to the local party on Friday night from our bedroom window...but you have to leave something to the imagination!

“Wedding in Paradise!”

Coral Cove Resort

5 of 5 stars
Philly

My husband and I were married at Coral Cove January 19th and absolutely loved it! For anyone looking for a more intimate location for a smaller wedding in Jamaica (with a true Jamaican feel), Coral Cove Resort was really a perfect location! We hadn't visited it before, so we were a little nervous, but as soon as we arrived, we knew we had picked the PERFECT place for our 20 guest wedding! The place is gorgeous and the staff is amazing!

Its about a 90 minute drive from MoBay, but with a few stops for Red Stripe, the drive flew by. The road is a bit rough the last leg of the trip, but you really get a feel for what Jamaica is like beyond the tourist areas. The town and resort are safe, probably safer than some of the larger areas, and you won't get attacked by the hawkers selling their stuff. In fact, the resort was so safe, we NEVER locked our door, and I don't think my mom ever actually got a key to her room!

The rooms are all different, and while they are a bit rustic, they are all funky and fantastic. The beds were very comfortable, and some of the rooms have open-air showers, which our guests thought were very cool. We stayed in the Doctorbird, and absolutely loved the 360 degree views from our bed. We didn't have AC, but we honestly NEVER needed it. We actually closed the windows at night because it would get a bit cool.

The food and drinks at Coral Cove are amazingly good! You will never be hungry for more, and the women in the kitchen will accomodate any request. We had a vegetarian guest who never felt that she didn't get a filling, delicious meal. And that was everyday... not just for our wedding. They really went all out for our wedding dinner!

The wedding day was perfect, and I was completely relaxed. After months of emailing, we had met with Dawn our first night at the resort. She and Terry took care of every detail to make sure our day was exactly the way we wanted it. The ceremony was beautiful, the reception was exactly the way we wanted it, and we had a fantastic meal while the reggae band played! Many of our guests said that it was the best wedding they had been to!

I have to send a special thanks to Steve Zindars, the resort's owner. He arrived the same day that we did to make sure that everything went smoothly and that everyone had a fantastic time.

Overall, I would highly recommend Coral Cove and hope to be going back for our 1 year anniversary! We fell in love with the resort, Little Bay, and everyone who makes this place so special! We stayed at 3 other resorts during our honeymoon in Jamaica, and nothing held a candle to Coral Cove. Thanks for making our day so special!

“Little Paradise in Jamaica”

Coral Cove Resort

5 of 5 stars
New York

Erin and I booked coral cove from March 7-16th. We found the place using the website after being tired of the cookie cutter resorts with horrible food we decided to give it a try. We are both very busy individuals who live in New York and have high expectations but the laid back Coral Cove was the perfect medicine!

I also was looking for a very special place to ask Erin to marry me and Coral Cove proved to be the most amazing and romantic destination. They even set up a little dinner for us with tiki torches and a bonfire on the beach! All I can say is WOW! and she did say yes! Everything was perfect!

We arrived to Richie smiling and picking us up at the airport and we continued to smile the entire week. Once you can survive some of the back roads to get here than you are officially in paradise.

The setup is a but rustic and it took us some time to adjust to authentic Jamaican life but in the end we didn't want to leave. All the rooms are custom made and we highly recommend the momma bird for fantastic 360 degree views. There are beautiful hammocks all over the resort that allow you to read a book, drink a red stripe, or jamaican punch and relax. Hopefully, you can also enjoy the dolphins who made visits past the resort several times while we were there.

The food was fantastic. You can request specific items which Elaine and the rest of the team in the kitchen is more than happy to help. We woke up each day to good filing breakfast, light lunch, and well portioned dinner of jerk chicken, pork, conch, lobster, and many freshly caught fish from the village. There are also some authentic places in the village that allow for food if you decide you need something extra.

The thing that sets Coral Cove apart from the other places we have stayed while on vacation is the people. Coral coves team was very friendly while taking care of all of our needs. The bartending team is fantastic, ask lester the groundskeeper for his dance, the staff and local villagers actually look out for you and make sure you are treated fairly. You are also able to book fishing trips and local cave tours with a local fisherman named georgie who took us out and we caught a 40 pound wahoo which we all had for dinner that night.

The other aspect we enjoyed were the other people we shared the resort with while we were there. People from all over the US and Canada. There was a small group and we all enjoyed meeting up for drinks and our own social hour before dinner. We made some friends for life and can't wait to go back next year. Erin and I highly recommend to anyone who needs to getaway from the norm and wants to truly relax. Happy traveling and we hope to see you soon at Coral Cove.

“lovin every minute...”

Coral Cove Resort

My husband and I got married there two weeks ago. They created a very intimate yet professional atmosphere. Even though it was just the two of us they made sure every detail was just what we wanted. They were very attentive in everyway. Atmosphere, food, service,comfort.....
This was in a rather remote part of Jamaice which is what we wanted, our own private paradise. We loved every minute of it.
Everything from the correspondence with Dawn, the wedding cordinator in the weeks prior down to the bar service while chilling on the beach was over and above our expectations.
(I'm drinking a Red Stripe as I write). The food is great, the rooms are clean, the service men/women are wonderfully friendly and they work very hard. Would we go back.................in a second.
