This review is late but still have great memories of our anniversary in Vieques. After a day of driving a rented jeep to all those beautiful beaches it was nice to go to our 3rd floor unit at CAV for rest and a hot shower. Our unit had a nice balcony and opffered some privacy along with basic sleeping quarters. Mark and his staff are nice people who will do their best to accommodate you in every way! I would definitely stay @ CAV if we visit Vieques again.

This place was just what we were looking for! Accomodations were clean, comfortable and afforable... just what we needed and more, a HOT shower with great water pressure, spacious for 2 people, there is a roof area to sit that has an incredible view of the island and at night, star gazing. We stayed in room 4 on the second level. Laid back, friendly atmosphere, helpful staff
There is a convienent store on the ground floor, coffee and muffins complimentary in the AM (rumor has it that they will be building a breakfast nook area soon for additional breakfast food, great idea!). The hotel is literally steps to town, 3 minute walk to town of Esperanza (Hope in spanish),The town has restaurants, bars and a beach to go snorkeling. Best way to get around is to rent a truck to see ALL the amazing beaches. Okay and best part, hotel owner, Mark is passionate about the island and making sure your stay is not only pleasant but that you experience the best the island has to offer. Gave us a map and descibed each beach, good restaurants/bars, and which Biobay tour to take. He made us feel right at home. We only had 2 nights and 2 days to see the island, should have spent all of time right here at Casa Alta Vista in Vieques than on mainland PR. what an adventure!

The place is perfect in price, location, comfort, facilities etc.

Mark (the owner) was extremely helpful, rented us his Isuzu trooper and gave us great recommendations.

A special thanks to Wayne who gave us a ride to the airport, when we woke him up at 6:45AM!!! (remember this is an vacation island) because our taxi did not show. Did not even have to ask! Thanks Wayne!

I had such a wonderful stay in Vieques and in large part because of Casa Alta Vista. The place is great, near the beach but just far enough from the main drag to make for a peaceful place to retire for the night. Rates are reasonable and the staff couldn't be more helpful. I look forward to returning to Casa Alta Vista.
