“Had A Blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Piramides Cancun Beach Resort

We had a blast, it was me and my girlfriend. they keep that place so clean u can see your reflexion in the marble floors. The staff is alway cleaning something, they are very friendly, and the bartender at the adult pool is the best. His name is mario, the lunch and dinner buffet could be better. But the italian resturant is very good, and the staff is fast to cover what ever you need. I cant stop telling my friends about it, we will be going back to cancun and staying only here everytime.

“Hated Piramides”

First day we arrive in the hotel, we checked in we were booked for a Ambassadors suite, one of the guys who works for the hotel is a con man, tried to extort money from us, saying I will give presidential suite if you give me money, 2nd problem my sister came to visit us they were staying at Sheraton Towers, Piramides would not let them go upstairs since they(staff) does not allow visitor, so we demanded to see the hotel policy, they told us they dont have hotel policy and in order for us to accept any visitor we have to pay $45 each day, this is the same guy who was trying to get money from us in the beginning, so my husband yelled at the people in the front desk finally they decide it was okay for my sister to visit. Some nights they were lots of people that are drunk yelling in the hallway. 3rd problem,
if you go to the pool area around 10 to 12 in the morning you could not even get a space and you could not even swim in the pool, they have 2 pools in the hotel, they are 50 people occupying the pool, the gym they charge you $5.00 each time you use it.

The only good thing about this hotel is located across La isla mall few blocks down is Luxury plaza mall, also I would like to say the best thing in our hotel is our housekeeper, very nice lady, took care of us from day one.

I will never stay in that hotel anymore, too much people trying to extort money from you.

Be careful!!!!!!

I love Cancun so Much we are going back again this next year but will stay in another hotel.

“Great Family Vacation!!!!”

Just returned from a great vacation at Park Royal Piramides. Two families of four and it was great. The food at the buffet was good. Wish they had a little more variety, but we realize that is difficult to do serving so many people. We wish they would have someone serve you at the pool instead of having to get up and get your own drink. The people that work there are fun if you want to have fun. Another words, they are very reserved if you are, but if you want to have a good time they are game for it. It was very clean. We never had a problem with anything not being clean. You will see people scrubbing the pool chairs at night if you take a late night walk. We always had clean linens and towels. Overall a great place to stay. Watch out for the people telling you about "tour discounts" it is a timeshare sale. Have fun, we did.

Me and my family had a great time at the park royal hotel its the best hotel Ive ever stayed in. we stayed there from the 16th to the 30th of march 2005 !!! The staff were constantly cleaning and the waiters, porters and bar staff were so freindly. We got moved up to presidential suite when we got there, because our room got over booked but that was fantastic,it had a jacuzzi, 3 double beds,a kitchen and a walk in wardrobe, oh and there wasnt a musty smell as other people have mentioned. The room service was excellent they came every day and even if you had the do not disturb sign on the door they still came to your door and handed you towels! The food in the hotel was very nice but we got a bit bored with it near the end of the holiday, there is alot of variety and nice desserts and the burgers at the burger bar are gorgeous. We didnt have any hassle off timeshare people at all, we didnt meet anyone with that trouble either! The hotel is situated in a brilliant place over the road from the best shopping centre in cancun and the bus stop is up the road. To get downtown is 5-10 minutes and i suggest you go to wal-mart further downtown to get cheap wine, beer and groceries. if you are up for snorkelling definately visit xel-ha, its lovely there and you can get on a tyre and sail down the mangoves or swim with dolphins and see the sharks! I would definately recomend this hotel to anybody the only thing i would say is dont go in march its spring break for all the americans and all the teens come and visit without parents so it gets very loud and busy ! If your going to cancun stay in the park royal hotel !!!

my partner and i have just returned from spending two fabulous weeks at park royal. after reading some american reviews i was dubious about booking this hotel, but on the whole it has an excellent location on one of cancun's best beaches. we were a short stroll away from three shopping malls, the best one being la isla which is situated just across the road.
the staff at this hotel work extremely hard to ensure that you have a pleasant and enjoyable holiday, and in our opinion should get more credit for this, especially all the staff at the italian retaurant and lobby bar ie guillemero, ismael, javiar etc etc etc. the rooms are basic but really clean...and we couldnt smell any musk coming from the air conditioning as reported in other reviews, the meals in the buffet restaurant were good too, lunch time being my favourite as i prefer to eat out in the evenings while on holiday despite being all inclusive. we never got hassled once about time share while in the hotel, but found these people to be more troublesome outside the hotel in the shopping malls, just be careful about what some people are offering you and remember you dont get anything for free with them, there is always a catch, a good tip for the uk tourists is if necessary always produce your passport for identification never use your credit card which they desire, as they want to know you have money to spend, if they are persistent about this walk away.
the only downside to the holiday was the amount of americans at the hotel, especially the spring breakers, i booked cancun for this time of year because i thought being involved in spring break would be an enjoyable experience....how wrong was i!!!! some people were friendly but most were rude and obnoxious and became loud and demanding when their requests for anything no matter how big or small were not met instantanously. a tip to the americans...manners cost nothing and a please and a thankyou for the service you require/receive should not be that difficult for you people to do.
so overall, it was an excellent holiday and we would return again to this hotel, preferably in a presidential suite but never in march again.
