We booked this hotel for May long weekend and had a good time.
We got a harbor view room with kitchen. The whole expanse of room in 6th floor was with glass on one side , so view was good. The Hotel does not look posh from outisde and is right on Robson st but is decent

budget rate - I think we paid about 100$ per night for a room with kitchen !!!

CONS - no microwave in the room. there is one in lobby which we used it since we needed it for our 3 year old. they said they plan to add microwave next year. We had to heat it in stove for everything.

it is close to everything - very close to stanley park and did most of sighseeing in vancouver by rental car in a day

Centrally located in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Robson Street, this serene tower offers you a lot more than it's first glance. Its initial lobby is quaint, but comfortable. We sat and watched the TV for about an hour. The elevator is small, but an excellent entrance for the main attraction -- the room. Our room was not a room, it was an apartment. It was larger than our 1 bedroom in NYC. It had a view of sea planes heading to Victoria. The windows are large for the sun that is rare, but brilliant. The style is country living, very functional, family oriented with a touch of real world -- basically, very comfortable.
Please note this is not the Ritz, but if you don't have the dough it is a decent option.

The hotel offers a choice of either a king-sized bed in a suite or a room with two queen-sized beds. I reserved a suite in advance. When we arrived, the man and woman behind the desk sized us up (Queers!) and offered us a room with two beds. I said no thank you. He and his wife had a discussion in a language I don't understand. He had my reservation in hand with a 7th floor room number but he scratched that off and gave me a key to a room on the third floor. This room had two beds and a window next to their very large hotel sign. We had to argue with the front desk before getting the room that was originally reserved for us.
This was two years ago. It makes no sense that anyone who has troubles with gays would work or own property on Robson Street but we live in a strange world.

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights after a really disasterous arrival in Vancouver and having to spend the night in Hotel Patricia. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful, the room that was to be for us was not ready when we arrived so we were asked if we would like to have kitchen facilities or stay in the penthouse suite which did nt have these facilities. Curiosity got the better of us and we opted for the Penthouse. Although it was basic, the room was HUGE with a great big bed, and windows all around. We had a patio bit on the roof, but unfortunalty there were seaguls nesting and they kept swooping. We got a marvellous view of the Firework displays.

All in all it was a really good place to stay. Good location and friendly staff, something that there was not a lot of in Canada I have to say.#
