“Great location in downtown Vancouver”

Sheraton Vancouver - Wall Centre

4 of 5 stars
Rainhill, Merseyside
Aug 17, 2008

We had a two night stay in Vancouver at the end of our 3 week trip across western Canada. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is in central downtown Vancouver on Burrard Street which makes everything so accessible. It is an easy 5 mnute walk to Robson Street and a 10-15 min walk to Canada Place and the Sea Wall walk- which takes you into Stanley Park. It is an attractive buiding from the outside, one of the nicest with landscape gardens. We stayed in the North Tower which I think is the newest part. The lobby is much more spacious and there seems a lot more in the way of amenites in this tower. The staff were incredibly helpful, even after we had got home and we had been charged twice for the valet parking. I have to say they were very good in sorting this out quickly.
The room itself was a spacious king room, not as spacious as we thought but a decent size. The bed was very comfortable. The hospitality tray was topped up each day with Starbucks coffee. The bathroom was a good size with a very good shower. The highlight of the room for me was the floor to ceiling windows we had a great city view and at night, with all the lights it was stunning.
We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, we thought it a bit pricy however we did eat out at the Indigo Bistro one night located in the South Tower. The food was very good and not as pricy as some of the places we had eaten at on our trip. The staff at the Bistro were very good and were always making sure you were OK.
All in all a good stay. We will be back to Vancouver because two nights is certainly not enough and we would probably stay at the Sheraton Wall.

“Very nice hotel”

Sheraton Vancouver - Wall Centre

This is the third Sheraton I have stayed in in the past two months and it really didn't let me down. Unfortunately we got off to a bad start. The young girl on reception told us there wasn't any king size beds left. Before we got a chance to ask anything the other receptionist came over and said no there were no king size, only two doubles. I tried to explain we had specifically asked for king size in our booking but she said our type of bookings are given whatever is available. I thought she might have suggested waiting to see if a king size room would become available later in the day (or even apologised!) but no. We were allocated a room in the North Tower to which she just waved her hand in the general direction and did not explain where to go. Thankfully a very nice porter came over and explained everything even explaining the difference between the north and south towers. (North is newer but a little walk over) After that everything was wonderful. The room was really lovely! New feel about it and spotlessly clean! Floor to ceiling windows, starbucks coffee maker, plasma tv, dressing gown, newspaper in the morning. The bathroom even nicer! Shower gel, loofah etc The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to Robson St, the main shopping area. You can check in with Air Canada in the lobby which is very handy. Internet access is in the South Tower. Theres a little Starbucks down the stairs in the lobby. We enquired about the Airport Bus and it leaves every half hour, but it's just as cheap and quicker to take a taxi to the airport. I would definitely return here!

“Top stay in executive level north tower”

Sheraton Vancouver - Wall Centre

The modern hotel is centrally located in Vancouver downtown, it is only a short walk to all downtown locations. The size of the hotel makes a very individual service more complicated, nevertheless, the people tried very hard. The room in the executive level in the north tower was Sheraton standard, not very big, but with the great floor to ceiling windows the impression of space was created. The view on good days is fantastic.
Being on the executive level, a continental breakfast in the south tower is inculded. Though not a very big choice, it had everything you needed for a very good breakfast including a perfect view from the 25th floor.
The concierge service was good and the restuarant recommendation turned out to be excellent.
Would definitely stay there again!

Great location, centrally located. Fast friendly check-in and it was only a $10 taxi ride from the cruise ship.

The room was beautiful, bed very comfortable and very clean.

“good stay at teh Sheraton Wall”

Sheraton Vancouver - Wall Centre

Jul 28, 2008

stayed here in a family suite for a conference. The suite was very nice with plenty of space. Not a bad price for the accommodation. Husband and son enjoyed the swimming pool. Staff were very pleasant and the location is very central.
There is a great little cafe next door called the deli-o. Does great breakfasts and lunches.
Only downside was the conference gala dinner in the hotel. Food was poor for the money and service wasn't great.
