We stayed in the "penthouse" suite with our teenagers. It is spacious, comfortable, clean and has a full kitchen. Adults had master bedroom with lots of windows, teens shared the airy living/kitchen/dining area where there was a sofa bed and a cot. Bed linens are nice quality. There is free wifi in the hallway and they have a dvd library you can borrow from. Staff is very helpful and friendly, breaskfasts are delicious. They also have snacks and drinks you can help yourself to all day long. That's a nice touch.The bathroom was fine, with nice Aveda products (some people might find the space a little cramped in this particular suite, though).The house is located in the most beautiful residential part of Victoria. It is a quiet street at night. Very little traffic during the day. You can walk to downtown in about 25 minutes. It is a pleasant walk through nice neighborhoods. The owners can recommend lots of good attractions and restaurants. We would defintely come back here!

Discovered Abbeymoore via Trip Advisor. Stayed two nights. The accomodations, food and location were excellent. But what makes Abbeymoore really special are Ian and Anne, the Innkeepers. Try Abbeymoore. You won't be disappointed.

My mom and I were in Victoria for three days on a summer vacation. We looked at many bed and breakfast options on Trip Advisor, and settled on the Abbeymoore based on its #1 rating. Once again, we owe you a debt of gratitude, fine traveling community, for steering us in the right direction! The hotel website was comprehensive and easy to navigate. We were able to see pictures of the rooms as well as check availability right away online. We printed driving directions from their site and had no trouble finding the stunning Victorian in a gorgeous neighborhood close to downtown (about 15-20 minutes walking). We were greated by Ian, who may be, quite possibly, the friendliest bed and breakfast host in North America. He gave us a warm introduction to the B&B, general area of town, and our wonderful room. We stayed in the penthouse, which was larger than my own apartment and also decorated better. There were homemade cookies at all hours in the kitchen, along with drinks and other snacks. There was a computer available in the library which was fast and convenient. The three-course breakfast kept us going until dinner time, which was also a lovely experience thanks to Ian's incredible knowledge of the local eateries complete with menus from his top picks to browse through right there in the B&B lobby. Ian helped us plan our day outings with the expertise of a cruise director. We went on a whale watch, enjoyed tea at Buchart Gardens, and toured the downtown area. Ian made all the phone calls for our reservations and was just as eager to hear about our experiences when we returned as he was to help us plan them. Ian, you have seriously found your calling as an innkeeper. Best to you and thanks again for an amazing time in Victoria!

My wife and I can do nothing but heap more accolades on the Abbeymoore Manor. We took a bus from the ferry to downtown Victoria, and were met on our arrival by Ian in his personal car. Ian took us for a wonderful tour through the town, pointing out the highlights and giving great advice on where to eat, and what to do.

This left a great first impression that only grew when we got to the Inn. By a great stroke of luck, we were upgraded to the suite, which is entire 3rd floor of Ian and Anne's lovely house. We had tons of room, a great view, and were amazed at how clean and pristine everything was.

The breakfasts were also fabulous, with a choice of either eating in the indoor dining area, or outside on the veranda, either in a group setting or at a private table.

This was truly the best B&B we've ever visited, and we heartily recommend it.
