Our room was average- VERY CLEAN, nothing fancy. This hotel was quiet and probably more suited towards business travelers. The hotel was nice overall, but I was disappointed in the services for families. No play areas or arcade for the kids. If you are staying in Toronto to go sightseeing and roam around all day like we did, you won't be disappointed. The pool and spa were a little grungy, but they were open until 11pm. The fitness center was very nice- we didn't use it, though. The restaurant's breakfast buffet was a super deal- kids under 16 ate free and the food and coffee were great!
The construction across the street from our room was definitely a negative, as were the gleaming neon lights from the Old Spaghetti Factory's sign. However, it is a 5 minute walk to the St. Lawrence Market and many, many bars and restaurants .
It was located at the southermost point of Yonge Street off the beaten path. Quick walk to Yonge Street and subways, but not close to the mall. I actually preferred that because it was quieter at night.
We stayed here because we got a great deal through Priceline.com, but I don't think I would choose to stay here.
