We went to the museum when the Yves St. Laurent exhibit was there. We didn't pay the admission fee to see the YSL exhibit because it looked like it was just clothes on mannequins, but now that we look back, we really regret not going! The hosts of our B&B said that they had guests who had gone back two and three times just to see the YSL exhibit!
We did get to see the entire permenant collection and we were very impressed by it. We had just been to the Gallery in Ottawa a few days earlier, and this collection was almost as impressive as that one (which art connoisseurs hold in the class of the Louvre or Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY).
We only had an hour to peruse the collection (which is another reason why we didn't want to pay for the YSL exhibit too just for an hour to do both), but the visit was definitely worth it. We saw Picassos, Monets, pieces by local artists and an entire collection of decorative art (chairs, utilitarian objects, etc). It was all very interesting and we probably could have spent hours there instead of just one hour. And it was all free!
