My partner, his two teenage sons, and I stayed in this hotel on July 1, 2005.
We had two rooms, a standard room with 2 double beds and an executive with king size bed. The latter included internet hook-up, some office supplies, and better quality and more toiletries. Both rooms had a CD player and a coffee maker. A large selection of new release CDs are offered free of charge in a vending machine in the lobby. One must have a credit card for a security deposit.
A light breakfast is included (bread, bagels, muffins, jams, peanut butter, cream cheese, juice, yogurt, cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, toaster waffles, juice, hot chocolate, fruit, and coffee), as well as the local newspaper and the National Post. Additionally, complimentary current best selling paperback books are also offered. Guests may take these with them and keep them, or return them to another Country Inn, in which case a charitable donation will be made by the hotel.
The hotel also has a fitness centre with up-to-date equipment.
The hotel is well kept and the rooms are very clean. The decor is a little hokey but in keeping with the hotel's "country" theme.
We paid slightly over $80.00 each for both rooms and considered it tremendous value.
Although we have previously selected Country Inns only for affordable travel with kids, my partner was so impressed with the executive room in Saskatoon that he said he'd consider it for business travel in the fuure in lieu of the Bess or Radisson.
