We stayed at the Saskatoon Country Inn & Suites July 18 - 23/06. We found the hotel to be a fair value for the money. ($99/night AAA price) We wanted a 1 bedroom suite which is a pretty good size because we were going to be there for 5 nights.
Pros:
Breakfast is decent: hot & cold cereals, toaster waffles and french toast, hard boiled eggs, bagels, toast, muffins, sliced citrus fruits and melon, coffee & tea.
Free wireless internet which worked great
Hotel was very clean and tidy.
Front office staff was fine to deal with.
Cons:
no swimming pool or whirlpool, airconditioners are loud - we had to turn off overnight or we couldn't sleep. The fridge in the suite is TINY - maybe 1 or 2 cubic feet. The other problem we had was that our card keys needed to be reset 3 times in 5 days!
***Be aware that the outside of the hotel has been upgraded and looks like new but the inside is clearly not a new property.*** Also note that the hotel doesn't really have any grounds (like a patio or courtyard) and the hotel rooms don't have balconies.
Another couple travelling with us said their room was VERY dark and they didn't really like to stay in the room. Our room had light coloured furniture and the window was in the bedroom so that room was light and bright, the inside room was quite dark even during the day with the bedroom door open as wide as possible.
Would I stay there again? Probably not since there are other properties in the same price range which are nicer or have better facilities.
