My colleague and I stayed three nights here on business. The building is a converted stately home, so the walls are a bit thin and you can hear people when they tramp up and down the corridors. Having said that, when it’s quiet, it really is quiet – you can’t hear a thing.

We ate in the bar each night, plenty of choice on the menu and nothing to complain about.

Breakfast was great, with the option of fish. The breakfast waitress was nice and remembered my colleague’s idiosyncrasy.

Some rooms look out over a courtyard, some over the golf course and the surrounding countryside, which is green as far as the eye can see.

The rooms have a flat screen TV. There’s a gym, sauna and pool. I spent an hour in the pool, it is quite big and there were maybe three other people in the water with me.

The only possible downside is that we were told all rooms were non smoking, yet the rooms had ash trays in. Having said that, the rooms were not smelly.

Next time we’re in Plymouth, this would be our first choice.

Stayed at the hotel for a weekend as it was a friends wedding on the saturday actually in the hotel.
I found the hotel in need of upgrading the decor, however the staff, food and rooms very very good.
The wedding reception day and evening were very good and the service was great all the staff were friendly and very helpful.
The health club was clean and modern and again staff helpful and friendly.

Had a fantastic time here, staff excellent, manager superb. Leisure facilities great, nice swimming pool. Big family room for 5. Breakfast great. Nice surroundings, nothing bad to say about this place. Definately recommend and would stay there again

I was greeted at the hotel by the super views over the golf course and the piece and qiuet. the hotel staff at the reception were more than helpful, as i needed help lifting my suitcase from my car. The rooms are spacious and very clean, and again the view from my room was great. The facilities are really good, the indoor swimming pool is lovely although i did not use the fitness and beauty facilitys. The food menu is extensive and again the quality is of the foodsecond to none. Well worth a visit.
