Our friends and ourselves have just spent a night at the Horse and Groom in Oddington and it was wonderful. The ambience was perfect, atmosphere very friendly and food gorgeous. The rooms are tiny but spotlessly clean.
The staff are extemely helpful and friendly.
Dinner was really lovely, accompanied by some very nice wine. Breakfast was equally lovely, made with nice fresh ingredients.
Circular walks are possible from the doorstep and if you want a change of scene, another gorgeous pub, The Fox is at the other end of the village.

This inn is in a small village called Upper Oddington. My husband and I booked a room at the last minute and we are very glad we did! The room was lovely (very simple and smallish, but clean and the bed was very comfy!)... The food is probably the reason this inn gets so busy.. It was fantastic - three courses were gratefully polished off. Breakfast was also great.. We celebrated our first wedding anniversary here and the staff were attentive, friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves..

Stay here if you can. It is a 5 minute drive from Stow on the Wold and the Horse and Groom is well worth a visit (even if you only get chance to eat here)... Highly recommended!

Stayed just one night for my husband's birthday. Pretty little village of Upper Oddington. Friendly host, contempory decor retaining old character of the Inn. Highlight was the food, wine and service at dinner which were excellent. Breakfast was cooked-to-order and delicious. Good location for Cotswolds touring.
