Eight of us stayed here for three nights on business over a weekend and unfortunately, we all came away very disappointed with the hotel.
Our rooms were on level 3 & 6. The beds were twins, the duvets didn't fit properly, there were no protectors on the mattresses and the sheets were not fitted so moved around when you lay on them. One of the glasses for my mini bar had a huge crack in it and there was a big sticky coffee stain on my window sill. Room service menu was very limited and when i left the tray outside my room for collection, it stayed there overnight and all of the next day! This was a common problem for all of us as well as the very loud fans in the bathrooms that stayed on 24hrs a day. When we called down about this we were told it's a frequent complaint and to stuff it with tissue!!
Breakfast was good, with a varied selection and the waiting staff and restaurant maitre de were excellent. The bar staff were polite but very slow table service in the evenings.
Also, there was a very load disco in the function rooms on one of the nights. As the hotel is open plan, the sound travels upwards and is very very loud on the 3rd floor. When we called down at 12.30am to find out when it would finish, we were told 2am and there was nothing that could be done about it. Not ideal when you're working the whole of the next day.
It does have some good points but unfortunately, many things let it down.
