“Stunning Stay!”

Radisson SAS Liverpool

5 of 5 stars

I cannot say a single negative word about this hotel. All the way around, a perfect visit. From the wine and hors d'oeuvres when we arrived to the friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is minutes away from many pubs and restaurants and close to the Albert Dock. The rooms were stupendous, comfortable and modern, the atrium like a dream. I would happily stay here again.

“Ear plug Inn”

Radisson SAS Liverpool

Jun 25, 2008

Wonderful hotel, beautiful building, excellent location BUT terribly noisy. Because of the design, all the sound is spread thoughout the building. We stayed on a weekend and there were some hen night parties, etc. The noise went on until after 4:00 am. I had to use ear plugs for the first time. The staff are very good especially the gentleman who manages the breakfast; he is a star.

“Standard of cleaning not as good as it should be”

Radisson SAS Liverpool

3 of 5 stars
Sutton Coldfield, United Kingdom

Having read some of the earlier reviews I asked for a room with a view of the Mersey and in a quiet area of the hotel - got both which was a good start! Room and bathroom OK – standard of cleaning not as good as it should be – grubby finger marks all over doors and windows, not thoroughly hoovered as there were a couple of crisps left on floor from previous occupants!! But overall we were satisfied.

Staff in Ark Spa were lovely, very happy with service we received – good range of treatments – would recommend booking any treatments before going. We didn’t use the pool, it was too small and the pool area was very hot and stuffy.

‘Filini’ restaurant pleasant, only had breakfast in there which was fantastic – large choice but best of all served until 12 noon at weekends! – Great after a late night out!

‘White Bar’ was comfortable but bar prices were extortionate and service was extremely slow.

Hotel is well positioned for Albert Dock and Echo Arena – less than £4 in a taxi or a brisk 20 minute walk. Lime Street Station and ‘Liverpool 1’ shopping centre (great selection of shops) again less than £4 in a taxi to each.

Security seems to be an issue at this hotel? – in order to access floors with guestrooms you need your room card to activate the lift – good idea but the large label on the room safe advising the Management do not take responsibility for anything in the safe was a bit worrying.

Relaxed atmosphere throughout the hotel, staff for the most part efficient and friendly.

“Loved this stunning looking hotel”

Radisson SAS Liverpool

Jun 6, 2008

I stayed here with a work group. My initial impressions were excellent (the foyer/atrium is very stylish) and this continued when I got to my water facing room. I had some problems with the television which took a couple of hours & nagging calls to fix, but this apart I couldn't fault my room, the food & service or the luxurious pool & spa. The bed was huge.

“loved the swimming pool”

Radisson SAS Liverpool

5 of 5 stars
Carmarthenshire
Jun 5, 2008

I stayed with friends overnight at the Radisson on Tuesday (no undue noise, as noted in other reviews). The Hotel is modern, clean and stylish. The room was pleasantly furnished to a high standard, lovely bathroom and flat screen t.v. The air conditioning was a bit noisy, so we turned it off in the night. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The swimming pool was lovely (no time to try the other facilities), however, it was a bit difficult to get into, you have to follow signs for the fitness Ark and get in the lifts there, pressing the ground floor button on the left, the door is very heavy and was difficult to open to get into the changing areas, there is a steep spiral staircase down to the pool which might be difficult for children. They provide towels when you check into the pool.

The hotel was central, the breakfast was fabulous, either cooked or continental, they had scrambled eggs (which I don't like), but there was no problem when I asked for fried. However, some of the staff either didn't understand or lacked initiative, if you asked for a pot of tea, that is what you got, you then had to ask for a cup, milk etc, also there was a long queue to get into the dining room.

  • This TripAdvisor Member:
    • Liked — It was stylish and comfortable
    • Disliked — the cards needed to work the lifts and open the doors, did not work first or even second or third times
