The exterior is dull, but the atrium rather striking in its grey and white stripes. Check-in was easy and efficient, as was porterage and valet parking. Splendid room (Urban style) overlooking the Mersey as requested. Everything functioned in the room, but it would be nice to have a rubber bathmat for disabled guests.
The hotel was a little noisy outside the room, but mainly due to unruly children. The Italian restaurant, Filini, found in most, if not all, SAS-Radisson hotels, offers a high standard of simple Italian cuisine (mainly Northern Italy), and very well prepared.
The only disadvantage is that you cannot access your car directly, and the concierge has to get anything you need later, but as this is due to the high security parking, it is a minor inconvenience. It is easy to drive to from outside Liverpool, and a good location within the city, with taxis, buses and trains close by.
