We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Booked the "suite" which the friendly girl at reception rightly commented was the best room in the house. Huge room, large bed, bathroom fantastic - stand alone bath with wonderful views over the beach.
Hotel in perfect position for golf, restaurants, walks on beach and town centre. Breakfast was good, although slightly disorganised due to lack of staff. Bar area with terrace was nice. Will certainly return on future visits to St Andrews

This understated but extremely attractive hotel has everything you need for a stay in St Andrews. The location is perfect, the rooms are to a very good standard, the staff are incredibly helpful and pleasant and its only a 2min walk to golfing nirvana. As a golfer and visitor it had everything i needed. Remember, St Andrews is a town with a lot of history and tradition so finding such a unique hotel really is a breath of fresh air and no tartan to be found. Very refreshing and wouldnt hesitate to recommend. Room 14 if you can get it has amazing views and if you are up early enough has the most amazing sunrise.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel on 28th March. From the moment we walked in the door we were welcomed by a friendly face which I sometimes find a rarity in Britain!.

Our room was very clean, very big and had wonderful views over St Andrews Bay and true to their word the champagne, chocolates, flowers and fruit were in the room on arrival.

We also had dinner in No.40 and found the food to be very tasty and had I known how much smoked salmon my wife was going to get with her scrambled eggs in the morning............

Overall this has to be one of the most relaxing hotels I have ever stayed in and in the future I will visit again hopefully for more than one night.

Just visited this hotel at the weekend.

Got the room for £79 from late rooms including breakfast.

Room given was huge with fab views over the water.

Service from staff was very good.

We had trouble with the noise from the bar Ma Belles' down below so had to shove in ear plugs (which i take everywhere). Reception said we should have called down as they do get complaints and the night porter will ask them to turn it down.

I'm a vegetarian, hot breakfast selection only meat version of full cooked version. Had scrambled eggs but without the salmon.

Overall good stay.
