“Delightfully French”

Hotel du Pantheon

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel du Pantheon in Paris.

After coming off a tour through Europe I wanted a small, French hotel for my last night in Paris.

The Hotel du Pantheon is right by the Pantheon in the Latin Quarter. It is a good, safe area with plenty of eating places. The nearest Metro station is about a 5-10 minute walk away and Notre Dame and the River Seine are about a 15 minute walk.

I stayed in room # 20 on the second floor. Although, the room was right by the elevator this was not a problem. The room was in the front of the hotel overlooking the Pantheon and very quiet. The Pantheon looks beautiful lit up at night. The room was decorated in reds and pinks with antique style furniture. The room was spacious and very well kept. The toilet was separate from the bathroom which I liked.

I found the staff to be very friendly and ready to help. They arranged a shuttle for me to the airport. Since the staff I dealt with were all bilingual, I did not have to use my rusty French!

The lounge by reception is actually quite small but very inviting. The bar is part of this area.

I would certainly stay at the hotel du Pantheon again.

“Fantastic Loaction”

Hotel du Pantheon

Have just come back from this fantastic little hotel where we went for my husband's 50th. We booked because the recommendations on Trip Advisor were so good and were not disappointed. We had a superior room with view and what a view - we could almost touch the Pantheon. The room was small but not that small at Paris standards. We were on the fifth floor and our room was slightly smaller as we had a balcony. The room was newly decorated with every attention to detail - plenty of shelf and wardrobe space (and I do not travel light) and enough space to store two suitcases without getting in the way. Separate loo to bathroom which was great and we even had a bath - a rare experience in city hotels - although it was rather small for my 6ft 4in husband! Minibar and tv and newly fitted bathroom. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very good - plenty of fruit, cereal, cold buffet style although we only ate in the breakfast room once and had the other breakfasts served in the room. Less choice in the room but much more restful! The area is great - we visited all the sites and also went further afield to Montmatre and Canal du Midi and nothing was further than 20 minutes on foot or by metro (about 5 mins walk away). there are plenty of places to eat nearby as it is the university district they are quite cheap - not the type of place to get a 5-star meal but perfectly adequate and reasonable. I would definitely go back and we have earmarked the hotel for any time we fancy a break to do the things we ran out of time for.

“Brilliant gem in central Paris”

Hotel du Pantheon

My 21 year old daughter and I stayed at this lovely central hotel for a week and we both wish it could have been for longer! The hotel is located very close to the Luxembourg underground station, directly overlooking the striking Pantheon. Our room with en-suite was immaculate, comfortable and quiet. Above all, the staff were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant - assisting us with
directions to get to places eg Disneyland and Versailles, film developing and even booking us in for an excellent evening at Bobino's Cabaret when places were at a premium! The staff could not have been better. The hotel is a short stroll to the shopping precinct of the Boulevard St 'Michelle, Notre Dame Cathedral and other central Parisian sights. There are a number of good value eateries nearby, a laundromat and a 24 hr internet cafe making the location of this hotel even more appealing. We have no hesitation in recommending a stay at the Hotel du Pantheon and hope to stay there again.

“Highly recommended”

Hotel du Pantheon

We have just returned from a three day break in Paris. We were incredibly fortunate to have chosen this hotel - one of many we came across, simply from Googling 3* and 4* hotels in the Latin Quarter. This hotel stood out mainly for it cost, location and I have to admit, we just liked the look of it on their web page.

The hotel is located in the Latin Quarter, directly opposite the Pantheon, therefore very straightforward to find. We caught the RER train into Paris from Charles de Gaulle airport, and got off at Luxembourg, which is a five minute walk away from the hotel. We arrived at the hotel at about 11pm, and we were concerned as we hadn't told the hotel we would be arriving late. However, this wasn't a problem and the staff were welcoming. Our room was no. 45 and situated on the fourth floor, overlooking the back of the hotel. So, no view of the Pantheon but it meant that the room was incredibly quiet. We liked the room and thought it was everything a Parisien hotel should be - nicely decorated and furnished - but probably not your cup of tea if you like modern and cutting edge design. The room isn't huge but it is more than adequate for a city break. No tea and coffee making facilities but not sure if that is the norm in French hotels anyway. The bedroom and en-suite bathroom were spotlessly clean.

You can have breakfast in the hotel but we didn't bother as there are plenty of places nearby. The nearst metro is Clunny, which is about a 10 to 15 minute walk away down Rue St Jacques, where it intersects Boulevard St Germain - again there are lots of places to have breakfast, coffee, etc around here. Notre Dame is then about a five minute walk from here.

In summary, I would definitley recommend this hotel. It is well located, spotlesssly clean and suited us perfectly for our city break.

“They went out of their way to make our day!”

Hotel du Pantheon

After reading some good and bad reviews about Hotel du Pantheon, we decided to try our luck. We were so impressed!

The service was amazing, and the staff were extremely accommodating. We were given recommendations on dining, phone cards, transportation, and more. Someone was even available at the front desk at 4 am!

We loved the romantic style of our room, and it had a very nice view. Though it lacked a shower, there was a large, relaxing bathtub.

Our room, the stairs, and the main lobby were clean. Though the elevator was not huge, it could fit all four of our luggage pieces (overhead-compartment size) as well as both of us. We had no complaints about it. In fact, we liked the old-fashioned feel.

The Metro/RER stations were within walking distance, and the area was quiet at night (but not too quiet). We felt comfortable coming home late.

And the restaurants, bakeries, people, and nearby nightlife made our stay vibrant.

In short, our experience was great!
