The location of this hotel is fantastic for The Louvre and other great shops. The staff were generally friendly, but a few had problems with English. The room itself was of a reasonable size, with high ceilings and large windows that opened out on the street. But. The safe in the room did not work, and even after reporting this a couple of times, they did not fix it but did offer to take our items and lock them in their office safe. Not what we were after, and this wasnt really practical as we wanted to keep cameras etc in there while we went out in the evening. We ended up carrying our stuff about in a padlocked rucksack! One of the lamps didnt work, and the jacuzzi bath didnt work either. Apparently this was due an ongoing problem with the system. There are NO coffee making facilities in the room, but there is a small mini-bar. The lift will only just fit two people - we ended up referring to it as the 'shoebox"! Overall, a great budget hotel for a great location, but not one to go for if you want a little luxury to your stay.
