My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Constans in October for 3 nights, and really enjoyed our stay. We had a lovely, huge room with hardwood floors and a big bed (not two twins pushed together that you frequently see). The bathroom was modern and large. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we had during our 18-day trip through eastern Europe! They even packed a bag for me to take when we had to leave early for our flight, before breakfast was served. The hotel is located on the Mala Strana side, which we liked. It's a short walk up to the castle, and about a 15 minute walk over to the Old Town Square (but what a beautiful walk across the Charles Bridge!). The hotel is on a narrow, quiet cobblestone street in a safe area, near the Embassies. Make sure you have a map--it's a little hard to find. We found the rates to be a bit high on the hotel's website, but we got a great deal by booking through Expedia. Overall, we were very pleased with the hotel and would definitely recommend it.

stayed for two days ,the staff was beyond good they,even gave us an unbrella when it was raining lightly.the breakfast was excellant plenty of food,the room was beautiful,so was the hotel.if you take a train to prague call them to arrange a taxi it will cost about five dollars instead of 30 dollars the crooks at the train station charge,call them when you arrive.been to europe many times this was one of the better hotels we stayed at

We stayed here for 3 nights during November and had a lovely stay. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist, and our room was fantastic - large, great decor and so quiet! The location was perfect, just a few minutes from the castle and bridge, which was ideal as neither of us had been to Prague before. It was also very easy to get to from the airport, just a couple of tram stops and the airport bus, which took about half an hour. Breakfast was good too. The only negatives were that there were a lack of veggie hot options for breakfast, a different person on reception was less friendly when we were checking out, and there was no internet access. However, we had a lovely trip and would happily stay there again.

I just spent five days in wonderful Prauge with my family (two children). I was very satisfied with the hotel at first, nice room and great breakfast/restaurant-staff. However, the staff is not overall friendly! I had one of the worst hotel-experiences ever in this hotel (and I travel a lot!) The morning of departure a very impolite and unprofessional man was working in the reception desk. I was charged a considerably higher amount than what was agreed on. When I opposed he got very rude, telling me “I got a very good price” (and hence shouldn’t oppose paying some 100 Euro more than what was agreed on..?). I was very disturbed by the discussion, since I had my children at the breakfast table only a few steps away, and we were just about to leave for the airport. I asked to discuss this issue with the manager in another forum (as in a letter of complaint) Mr reception-guy (I asked for his name but he wouldn’t tell me) then ran to get the manager, whom he said was in the property. This person didn’t show up though, only the message that I should pay “the rate I was charged for”. Super- not nice consequently, and of course I wouldn´t recommend this hotel to anyone.
