I was coming to Prague for the first time, by myself, and wanted to stay somewhere centrally-located. I booked the hotel based on the Trip Advisor reviews. I was not disappointed. While it was a bit more than I usually spend on a hotel, the location could not be beat (two minutes walk max from Old Town Square), the room was enormous, with a lovely view of Tyn Church, the room had all kinds of amenities, the bathroom was one of the biggest I've ever seen, the buffet breakfast was absolutely fantastic in a lovely setting (and the breakfast staff were friendly and professional). The front desk staff were great too. I had paid for a lower price room and they upgraded me for free. I can not say one thing bad about this hotel. If I ever come back to Prague, I'll definitely stay here again. After leaving Prague, I continued on to Munich, Dublin, Paris, and London, and no hotel compared to the Hotel Ventana.

My husband and I stayed at the Ventana Hotel during April 2008. We drove from Vienna to Prague. The young staff is very friendly and professional. We had a two-floors loft room. The decor is simple. The breakfast is very good. The best thing is the location - just two minutes walk from Old Town Center. I would stay at this hotel again.

Nice hotel, smallish lobby, but a nice little bar with fantastic staff and the breakfast is relatively extensive. The room was reasonable in terms of size, definitely NOT small or boutique-like.

The best part, however, was the location, it's literally a 2 minute walk from Old Town Square and only another 10 minutes from Charles Bridge, etc.

The only negative was that, as all the guidebooks instruct, we asked the hotel to call us cabs. Instead of calling a reputable cab company, they brought us some shady people who charged us literally 3 times the price of the cab home through AAA. We assumed they wouldn't call us the shysters, but they did.

Very minor complaint though, all things considered.

Needed to book a couple of nights in Prague and specifically wanted a good location + 5 stars.

The Ventana is above/behind the Svarkowski shop right at the entrance to the Old town Square, so the location couldn't be better. Equally impressive was the service, the rooms, the decor and the breakfasts.

I'm a very critical traveller and even I couldn't fault any part of my stay. I would (and already have) recommend this hotel to anyone. Look no further.
