This luxury boutique hotel was awesome. All of the luxuries of an upscale hotel, with a personal attentive touch. The hotel and rooms were well decorated. The rooms are each named after a historical military figure and include (at least mine did) a painting of that person. The room includes free internet, a big flat screen TV with satellite TV and an air conditioner strong enough to cool the room on hot summer days (which I have found is often not the case in Europe). The staff was helpful and attentive. Upon arriving very early (9 am), they said that early check-in was no problem, they just needed a few minutes. While I was waiting, they brought me a drink, a map and guidebook and sat with me to explain the local attractions and how to get around the city. The free breakfast was good. The staff had arranged my transportation to the airport on the day of my departure and realized that I was leaving before breakfast hours, so they asked if I would like them prepare my breakfast individually before hours. They even offered to bring it to my room with no charge.
All for significantly less than comparable large hotels. Thanks Hotel General for a wonderful stay. I will be back.

Rooms were spacious, luxurious and very clean. Service was very friendly and helpful, staff went out of their way to help us. Food was good, breakfast was generous. Free internet access included. Could not fault anything with the hotel, didn't want to leave! It was about a 10-15 minute walk to the centre of town, five minutes to public transport hub. Exceptionally quiet, a short walk along the river to some good restaurants. The hotel is a beautiful restored Art Nouveau building with completely over the top decoration inside.

We came across this hotel much as you perhaps are now on TripAdvisor.com. Unsure initially we took a well earned risk! The hotel is within easy walking distance (albeit with a good pair of trainers) of all the major sites but its immediate vicinity has great restaurants & bars for value and atmosphere. We were greeted with friendly and fluent English speaking staff (Hi Paul & Philip)! who are more than happy to help to your every need. Our room was standard double (2 single beds together) and immaculate. Beds turned twice daily & the rooms are well kitted out. Breakfast is also plentiful and fresh in luxurious surroundings. First time but not the last for us!

This was our first visit to Prague and the choice of Hotel made the experience all the better. Very good position, only a 20min walk to all the main attractions (nearby metro and trams if you don't like to walk). Breakfast was very good. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room was immaculate, very clean and well fitted out. Would definitely recommend staying here.
