Large rooms, very clean.
Location is fantastic. Straight across the road from the main gate.
Small convenience store next door and plenty of dinning options within 5 min walk.
Breakfast is basic, but ample to get the day started.
laundry on site.
Pool is small, but lets face it, we're there to visit Disneyland, not laze by the pool all day.
We couldn't find fault with this hotel or its staff.

Will continue to recomment this hotel and will stay again.
feel free to email with questions.

We booked our Disneyland vacation through Alaska Airlines on- line. Ideal location, very clean rooms, helpful and friendly staff. Our room was clean & fresh every day. The outside access to our room was pleasant as there were flowering vines on the railings and patio sets to sit upon for an afternoon beverage. Walk to the gates was short. The roof top pool made it a lovely break from the crowds. The breakfast room provided pastries, toast, juice, coffee and fruit daily. We would most definitely recommend this hotel.

We've stayed in Carousel Inn for a whole week in July. The roof-top pool was too small, that my kids did not want to swim there. Too small for such a large hotel. Parking - problem. No internet, not even in the lobby. I actually used the internet in Best Western, cause I stayed there before and used it in their lobby. The breakfast was annoying. The lady during the week would be hiding in the storage room, while all the table were dirty. She was also stingy with the danishes and mini-donuts. She just said there is none left, eventhough it was 8am. They guy during the weekends overseeing the breakfast was always cleaning and bringing more stuff to eat. We liked him. We also liked the cleaning staff, the ladies were nice. Not too impressed with the lobby employees, they were just there to socialize with each other. Overall, not too bad, probably would not stay here again.

When we first checked in I asked about upgrading. The first person said none available...Parking is a big issue at this hotel. We fortunately found a space and never left it, just walked everywhere. Our first room was dirty and smelled of fresh smoke. The sheets were dirty, they had stains and a hair on them. There was food left in the microwave. They did come up and change the sheets, but the carpet was dirty and the smoke smell was gross. We used a crib as well. It was dirty. I had to clean all of the rails and wipe everything down. It was gross at first. We brought our own sheet. The front desk called and asked about our stay so far and then they offered to switch rooms. We were upgraded at that point with my in-laws, but for a price to upgrade, to the carousel club rooms (we were given one night upgrade free on our room only). These rooms are much nicer and made our stay more enjoyable. The only way we would stay here again. The staff were very friendly to us during our stay. The continental breakfast is a joke unless you can survive on cereal and toast. We would probably look somewhere else to stay next time to Disneyland!

“Can't beat the location”

Carousel Inn and Suites

Jun 23, 2008

We, my husband and 2 kids aged 5 and 7, stayed from June 7th to the 12th. You cannot beat the location...a mere 5 minute walk to the park entrance, 10 minutes if you meander. Our room was a concierge room that was booked through Alaska Airlines. We were in the back on the left and on the 2nd floor so nobody was above or beside us. Perfect. The room was clean and had 2 queen beds which where quite comfortable. There was enough room for the 4 of us and luggage, etc. Nice that the shower and sink were separate. Breakfast was standard fair and enough to fill up on. As part of our package we rec'd a hot sami so that was great. Very basic stuff, toast, cheerios, croissants and pastries. Just oranges and more fruit would have been better. The room had a fridge which was handy to store water and we never used the microwave. With all the activity at Disneyland we never used the pool. The front desk staff was okay except for Miss Letus who's the type to know everything and tries to make you think she's helpful but knows and does nothing. Make sure you ask to activate your phone for messages because they don't do that automatically. We didn't have a car for our stay so didn't have issues with parking. One night though because the cars park directly below the rooms, it was quite loud as a sport utility couldn't decide where to park. After a short 2 day trip to Legoland we returned for a day at Disney and wanted to park in a location that we were familiar with. Carousel charged us $11.00 for a 5 hour stay eventhough we never parked during our stay. Miss Letus again..so much for the concierge services.
