My family and I have just returned from a 2-week tour of Morocco. The highlight of our trip was Fez and more particularly,Riad Numero 9. We had rented out the 3 suite riad in it's entirity for 4 nights and it went well beyond our expectations. From the moment we crossed the threshold and were greeted by a gracious housekeeper "Atika" and her chef sister "kylie" we knew we would not be disappointed. They were so helpful , yet non intrusive in their demeanor. After our first breakfast of freshly squeezed juices, homemade preserves, fine asia teas, it was decided that all of our meals would be at "home". They made for the finest gastronomic experiences we had in the country. The American and French owners have clearly lavished alot of love on their luxury getaway, as seen by their Asian and European antiques. Buttery soft pyton skin pillows, vintage linens, french crystal, made for sheer comfort living. All that finery was not intimidating (with children), as Riad 9 exudes a certain laid-back atmosphere. We left with a feeling that we had genuinely experienced what living in a luxury riad in the medival city of Fez feels like. BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
