A group of us stayed in Riad Zolah at the begining of this year and had an absolutely amazing experience. Riad Zolah made our trip extremely memorable and it has been our best trip to date! I cannot recommend Riad Zolah highly enough and would like to say thanks to everyone at Riad Zolah for taking good care of us & apologies for the delay in writing our comments!

The previous reviews are no joke or sham! This place really is the best!

We just got back from a week in Morocco including three nights at the Riad Zolah. We could not have had a more wonderful time. The rooms and staff at Zolah are subperb, with everyone going out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home. Ismail, Fatima and Aziz felt like family by the end of our trip and we did not want to leave! They always had great reccomendations for food, sights, and so on. They are also a great source for getting a sense of "fair" prices for various goods available in the souks. Talk to them before you buy!

The food is outstanding, and everyone should plan on having at least one dinner on the rooftop of the Riad during their stay.

The rooms (we staid in Suite One for two nights, and Suite Six for one after returning from the Atlas) are large, clean and very comfortable...it was difficult to leave them each morning!

Breakfast servings are large, fresh and delicious and great for preparing you for a day exploring Marrakesh.

I can not reccomend Riad Zolah enough, one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at Riad Zolah in suite 2. After reading all the wonderful reviews it had a lot to live up to but it certainly did! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left nothing was too much trouble. As others have mentioned all the staff were attentive and nothing was too much bother - we asked to borrow an iron and they insisted on taking the items and ironing them for us!! Nothing sums up the staff better for us than the sight of Aziz smiling at 5.30 in the morning whilst he got our breakfast ready prior to our early departure. The room itself was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean.
The location was fantastic and being able to return from the madness of the souks (if you can find your way out!!) to the calm and peace of the Riad within minutes is priceless.
We shall certainly be booking here again if we return to Marrakesh.

What a fantastic, amazing place Marrakesh is. Every one raves about this Riad, but its true, Fatima made us feel so welcome with mint tea on arrival and the accomodation is the best. So do your self a favour and just book it....cheers Salt and Sal from down under in Western Australia....

“Absolutely gorgeous!”

This is a wonderful Riad, and rather than write a copycat review from all the other glowing one's, I'll try and focus on some specifics that people might find useful:

Suite 2:
We stayed here. This has a large bed that has a huge curtain that you can draw in on it, meaning the bed is isolated from the rest of the room if you like. Very intimate. It has a fire (that surprisingly we didn't need in July) and it overlooks the pool rather than the courtyard. It had a large marble bath with a shower over it. It also had a sofa and a couple of chairs around a table. It's a long, narrow room with lots of attractive furnishings. Most of the other rooms overlook the courtyard, so this is a bit more private than the others in a way. Although the view over the courtyard is probably a bit better than the view over the pool in my opinion. Pros and cons I suppose.

Staff:
They're all brilliant and really go out of their way to help you. At the same time, if you want to be left alone, they will leave you in peace. Fatima, Ismail and Aziz take the lead and they're all great. I couldn't speak highly enough of them.

Nice touches:
Turn-down service on the bed, candles lit in the room when you come back from dinner, rose petals sprinkled around the room/bed, fresh fruit/sweets/mineral water in your room daily, bose ipod dock in the room, complimentary mobile phone, free airport transfers, lovely roof terrace etc etc. I should note that some of these varied day by day. e.g. they did different turn downs on the bed, and sometimes the candles were lit, sometimes not. Personally I liked this as it made it feel individual/special about how they were doing it.

Tips:
Eat in the riad at least once. We ate out at Le Fondouk (great meal and supposedly one of the top restaurants in Marrakech) but the food in the riad was easily the equal of this - and cheaper. Also, if you get in early, you can help determine the menu, as they go to the market that day to buy specifically what you would like to eat.

If you go in the summer, spend a few hours by the pool at somewhere like Hotel Andalous or Nikki Beach. It's so hot walking around, and you can do this at dusk/early in the day when it's not at its hottest. (Despite what guide books say, The Sofitel doesn't do the deal where you can pay to use the pool and lunch there - Andalous is nearby to Sofitel and have doubled their rate to 250dh - but it's worth it!)

One last thing. On the Marrakech Forum, I have kept an eye on a thread recently about fake riad reviews. I was a bit worried before coming to Riad Zolah as I couldn't find any information about it anywhere (Lonely Planet/Time Out/Hedonists Guide/Rough Guide etc) And I couldn't help but think 'why is this place not in a guide book if it is supposedly one of the top riads in Marrakech'? I can't answer that question, but I can say that it is absolutely lovely and if you stay here you certainly won't regret it!

Cheers

Pete
