My mother, auntie and I stayed at the Siam City Hotel on the 30th of July to the 2nd of August 2008. We had a Club Suite Room on the top floor. The people from the Club Desk, Housekeeping and Restaurant staff are all really nice and polite.
The room are a fair size for the three of us with room cleaned daily. We booked on the internet directly to the hotel reservation to stay 30 July to the 5th of Aug but have to shorten our stay as we were having problem sleeping. Bed bugs are biting us at night while we are in bed. Tossing and turning all night .We have spoken to the club manager and she cant do anything for us that is satisfactory. I was hoping that they would have a newer room or bed. Instead they charged us more per night of stay as we cancelled early. I thought that they could have done more for us. The hotel should address this problem soon. We stayed in another hotel for 3 nights with no bugs biting us. We had a wonderful night sleep.

Dear "Sleepless Nights"
I was shocked to read about your allegations of not being able to sleep because ‘you were bitten by bedbugs and as consequence, you and your family checked out prior to your departure date.’ Circumstances such as these are extremely troubling, and require our immediate attention. I have spoken with all staff concerned and wish to put the situation in order, so that we might resolve the issue.
•You had never mentioned the problem of bedbugs throughout your stay, even when you were within direct contact with the club manager and housekeeping every day.
•On August 2nd you requested to check-out early. The Club Manager explained to you that the very special rate you were given by booking the "Hot Deal", were void if you check-out early, meaning that you were required to pay a regular rate or loose the extra two nights. (Hot Deal = Best Rate, Prepaid, No change, No cancellation, No Refund - source Siam City Booking Website)
•Not until, after this, you mentioned for the first time to the manager that the bed is too old for you. We tried to find out the meaning of too old and you were given two options, either to remove one of the double bedding box mattresses or the possibility for housekeeping to make the bed firmer, both of which you refused straight away. In addition, another option was for you to change to another room, which you dismissed with comments ‘it is all the same.’ However, throughout the entire conversation on your bed, never once, did you mention anything about bedbugs.
Understandably, claims such as these towards our hotel and lack of our staff’s assistance are very upsetting, especially when you were offered different choices. Accusations that our beds have bedbugs, is extremely detrimental to our hotel and a concern. If this would be the case, I can guarantee you would not have stayed 3 nights.
I suggest that during your next hotel stay, in any location, if you feel that your needs and concerns have not been met with the necessary staff. You can request to speak directly with the hotels management. In these circumstances, we could, at the very least, look into the predicament, had we actually known about it in the first place, and not after the fact as you are now stating. Please let me assure you, all hoteliers wish their guests a memorable experience. We are sorry yours is not so.
Sawasdee and best regards,
Siam City Hotel Bangkok
