We stayed in this hotel in mid - January for 4 nights at the end of our 3 1/2 week trip around Argentina. We chose this hotel because of it's location in suburban Belgrano where we thought it would be a quiet area and it was. Overall this is probably the best hotel we stayed in whilst in Argentina and we stayed in some up-market properties. The hotel is in a huge renovated old house in Belgrano, it has been very tastefully done in an Art Deco style. You have the reception and an adjacent cafe where you can take breakfast on the ground floor, then up some grand stairs you have a couple of lounges for your use and there are some rooms on this floor then the top floor is only rooms - this is where we were. We had a deluxe room which had a large balcony and a luxurious bathroom with a spa bath. All the room fittings are of a very high standard and a lot of though has gone into the lighting, furniture, etc... On arrival the intelligent and thoughtful manageress sat down with us and discussed our requirements during our stay. Restaurant recommendations were given and she ended up making the necessary reservations for us. There are plenty of maps available at reception and items of interest to us were marked on one for us. During our stay the accent is on doing whatever they can to make your stay a memorable one. On the afternoon of our departure the receptionist phoned up and invited us down for coffee and biscuits because she knew we had a late flight home and wouldn't have a meal until after midnight. Try getting this kind of consideration at most hotels!! One afternoon we walked from the hotel to Recoleta but that was a mammoth walk that took most of the afternoon - well worth it as you pass by some nice areas and walk through the Palermo parks. Mostly we took taxis by flagging a radio taxi down outside the hotel. Two of the restaurants we went to - Olsen and Sucre you would probably have to taxi to anyway. All reception staff are fluent in English. For a quiet and comfortable place to stay I could thoroughly recommend My ba Hotel. To see more photo's of the hotel look at my Flickr photos on http://www.flickr.com/photos/kiwiexplorer/sets/72157594489478882/ We also stayed in Puerto Madero and in Recoleta but this was the right location for us at the end of our trip when we just wanted to relax.
